Hey Malcolm,

Since you have better feed than me, could you post a chart showing today's volume on the DXY? I only use freestockcharts, which doesn't give accurate volume.

lol I know why .... cause he / she loves buying at resistance and selling at support.

I am expecting 1.5900 area test on gu and then MAYBE sell down into 1.5780 in london ...but who knows in this market anything can happen

LOL, that's why I asked Malcolm about the DXY's vol. I been looking to short gold for a bit now, and high vol on the DX buy side would help with decision support.

I'm still flat gold (and not a VSA follower, but I appreciate what Malcolm's done here).

ok then, let me explain...

to be honest, actually it was not related about the direction.. i have left my computer about 1 hour, and when came back, i saw it decreased from 1,5930s to 1,5860s, i bought immediately for some 10 pips.. because it has already decreased more than 60-70 pips, and it should bounce from 5860s.. and just after i ve seen -30 pips, and i felt very bad...

170 pips all decreased from top, and i felt it should bounce..

everything seemed collapsed, i thought very bad options.. it might go 100 pips down more, i thought... and after london, frankurt close, such down move seemed very strange...

so, i felt so desparete... i didnt know what to do .. and he is one of my teacher

intel, hiddengap are lost in the meantime...

so, let me follow you guys....

You have answered it already - You can see what market brings to You when You expect something..

"Alright Tom, but when we take trade, don't we expect to go in our way ? "

No.
And then You will say - madness.. how You can trade if You are not expecting profit...?
And i will answer - Because 95 % people are expecting profit and taking trades expecting that market will go in their direction...

BUT, if all others would expect loses and think about it much more than expecting winners, than they would be quite good traders, i think..

etc etc etc...

I will not argue with anyone about what i wrote, if You want, You can do with others, i just wrote my view what i have got from reading and looking some videos about traders.

Everyone has different view, so, i am not saying mine is right.. So, no problem

Tom has answered it quite well.
Don't buy/sell over hope... don't hang-on to a trade based on hope, either!

Stops, stops, stops... always use stops!
Whether it's a fixed number of pips, or one chosen above/below a previous swing, it doesn't matter that much - the essential thing is to have one!

And once it gets filled, don't chase the trade, take a pause and then re-evaluate the situation... or simply come back tomorrow.

Wise words, Tom... always expect to take a loss, until the trade is actually closed with a profit.

My 15th VSA Trade (Live).

Executed Order.
EUR/USD - Long
Date: 6-Oct-10
Time: Alpari 16:45
Entry: 1.3896
Initial SL: 1.3866 (-30 pips) (Near Recent Buyers Low )
Initial TP: 1.3926 (+30 pips)

Reasons:
Note the Red vertical line, the bar after this line is my signal bar.
Did not want to enter in range of 1.3820 to 1.3880.
Background Strength. 3 Buyers with Long DownTail. Squat/SpringBoard.
Unsure of this actual term Squat.
I call this Squat as not NS and not ND.
This Squat Tail bounced off previous Resistance 1.3880, now breakout entry.
Enter on break High of this Squat.
Hull green on H1 and M15.

Attached:

Entry (small Yellow horizontal line),
Initial SL (small Red horizontal line),
Initial TP (small Green horizontal line).
Actual Exit (long DodgerBlue horizontal line).

I will inform of exit result no matter it is profit or loss.

Final Result.
The above order hit SL: 1.3896 ( BreakEven 0 pips).

** Please comment on analysis.

Trade Management:
- Entry here is different to last few of my VSA trades.
- Think my previous VSA entries have been a bit too early, so this trade wait longer to enter.
- Wait for a break of range between 1.3820 and 1.3880. Did not want to trade while in this range.
- The Squat here acts like a SpringBoard.
- It actually hit my initial TP 1.3926 ( +30pips) within 3 bars of entry on M15.
- However, here as soon as I saw the price moved up within 1 bar after entry, I put SL to BreakEven.
- Then I choose to remove TP.
- Next day on 7-Oct it hit a high of 1.4029. I was not at computer whole day.
- Then price went down and eventually trade exit at BreakEven 1.3896.
- I still feel happy with this BE. Of course would be happier if I took it at a profit.
- This probably sound strange that I feel good at BE, perhaps too many previous loss trades.
- And also happy as this trade actually went according to my analysis of entry, just did not know the exit.
- Now still taking only 1-lot, as have not get the hang of profitable trades. If took 2-lots, then I would have take at least 1-lot at initial TP.

Please comment on how to improve this trade ??

yes large volume on testing 77.2 area on a 4 hr. I am expecting eu and gu to drop tomorrow

if you look at eu and gu we hve potential bear flags on 15 min.

eu is sell zone 1.3970 to 1.4000
gu is sell zone 1.5890 to 1.5910
targets 150 pip on each

again this is not a trade calls only what i am looking for , confirmed with vsa only

Could anyone please recommend a good Futures broker for a demo account. I want to track Euro futures against EU FX spot market pa. Just thinking the more info the better in finding the real market move.

i dont know whether we can say it is a stop vol... the last formed bar with corresponding higher volume than previous more than 10 bars.
