Watching AU tick, when it approached the area where the close of the No Selling pressure bar, price stopped ticking. It just stalled out at support, lets see if price will make a run to last Thursday's high of .7140

just my opinion ... i may be wrong ... i rarely trade AUDUSD ....

EU daily target 50 pips done .... it should be easy to understand the reason taking this position, take your time to understand it ... be active ... its best for trading skill development ... sorry bit lazy to explain ...

is it possible to trade the big news (rate decision)? yes, and the price movement gave a clue about the direction of EURUSD (its not always clear but last night was nice) ... i already took my daily target the news was very late - sleeping time no need to be greedy but it was a nice predictable movement for VSA traders ...

Past couple of days..

Yesterday was EA long.. I have to show 2 charts because Oanda live charts were messed up.

Demo chart, On the M15 the bar I marked off the volume isn't impressive but when that bar printed there was a lot of fast movement on it. If you were watching the chart you knew professionals were active.

Today was UCAD, its an underwhelming trade to say the least.

Today in Asia there was a squat bar with high volume considering the spread of the squat bar. This bar had to be buying.

I closed the trade with small profit, I was originally aiming for the 50% of yesterday's FOMC bar, but ended up closing after price kept struggling with the FOMC low.

I went through your old posts, trying to figure out your trading style (I always tried to figure it out until a friend alerted me). I think I have an idea. Good stuff you have on those posts. Thank you for the presentation, will go through over the weekend.

I guess I've only been using down bars for my initial sign of strength. Today I used a hidden test, couldn't help but notice the small spread on it.

I really dropped the ball on this USDCAD trade. I think my problem was I saw that FOMC bar as weakness and was nervous about the counter trade.

For VSA trader was easy ... NFP this time was nice, easy and predictable movement i even placed my trades hours before NFP ... after news we still could get an opportunity to entry but for me was enough just enjoyed the time with family.

Attention - Trading big news is not always easy the best time to trade big news is after the news come out and just ride the wave ... so the last NFP and Rate decision were special case!!

I brought my stops up too quickly and got stopped out as price pulled back. I re-entered the position and just closed most of it.

I left 1 order open with stop at BE, I have a feeling that today might mark the low for the rest of the week. Reason being is that retail loves to try and close the gap and market could easily try and squeeze them.

The tradeguider software uses 14 from what I've heard (I've never used it) and I used 13 because it was a fibonacci number. There is literary no difference and the MA isn't really necessary.

The biggest thing about finding high volume or low volume bars is to make sure its in fresh new ground, I mean when you look to the left of the bar and make sure you're not seeing any PA there for the last 5 bars or so. Here is an example, look at bar 3 the previous 5 bars are below bar 3 which makes it a great sign of weakness.

I wish someone would have emphasized that to me when I first started out.

Thanks for starting this thread. I hope we can learn real operation of VSA from you. Although I have been trading forex for over 2 times, VSA is a subject I have explored only recently, I suppose like utmost people I allowed since volume is not available in forex there is no room for VSA in forex. I have learned that VSA is relative and not absolute volume. I am in the middle of reading Master the Market.
EURAUD short..

I need to work on my TPs, I cut this one too short. I got spooked with the 2 bar reversal back into the daily open and forgot the first rule to trading VSA; The background just doesn't disappear.
