I have a monitor profile with about 16 charts on it... as I channel trade and use an alerter indicator (thanks tesla!) to warn me when channel edges are being reached I have to leave this profile constantly open (I wish there was a way to make the indicator work without having the chart open!). Trouble is I will often be working 3 or 4 different pairs in channels and it gets hard to keep track of which of the sixteen charts I'm supposed to be monitoring.
What I'd like to do is write 2 scripts... on that changes the chart background colour to highlight it... and another that changes it back to the default black background. Then link them both to hotkeys... easy then, select the chart, hit the hotkey and chart is highlighted and stands out from the one's I'm not actively monitoring... I know it might sound a little lazy but there's so much other stuff to keep an eye anything that cuts out a few mouse clicks helps...
I would have thought this would be easy to do but I can't find any functions for changing chart properties... or even for getting a handle/index for the currently selected chart. Ideas welcome!
