Can someone suggest a broker who uses GMT+1 (or GMT-3) for their server time? I'm trying to run four sets of 4H charts. Every broker I've tried seems use GMT, GMT+2, or GMT+3. Thanks.

Hi Jdl,

I run 4 brokers for 4H. Not sure which one is GMT+1 but I get the continious h4 closing each +1 after another.

The order is: Fxpro, Alpari, Admiral Markets, Oanda (mt4)

When trading your breakout strategy on a smaller time frame(4HR charts),

**What time of day is this done? Anytime a signal is given or only during higher volume periods like 2am-11am EST or 6pm-12am (For Jpy, Aud or Nzd currencies)?

**I know that on a daily time frame we should enter about 10-15 pips below the PA candle's low if we want to short or 10-15 pips above the PA candle's high if we want to buy, but what do you do on 4HR charts? Do you give it the same 10-15 pips even though it is a shorter time frame?

Do you have any more instructional info available? I have seen the videos in the J16 site & they were VERY helpful. Thank you!

If I may.. This regards to your second question, usually for 4HR TF 5-12 pips buffer..

Hey guys,

new to the thread and reading (I'm only on page 30 of 93827139827 but that material so far is gold!).

I've been trading fx now for about 6 years and have surprisingly come out at relatively breakeven. I would certainly like to grow my account though and this is the first methodology I've seen that doesn't reply on blackbox nonsense.

Just wanted to say thanks to James and everyone else that has contributed. I'm looking forward to joining the pf once I get a little further in reading the thread.

Hey RD

The majority of my 4hr and under trades get executed during them main sessions. Roughly 2-3am est -9/10am est. There are of course exceptions to this if volatility is very high else where and opportunity knocks

For my buffers, they depend on the pair and what else is around but generally i use something like

1hr- 5-10
4hr -10-17
daily -12 -25
weekly 20-40

Again that's a very general idea, but hopefully helps

As for my material, are you a member of the PF by the way you worded your sentence? If so send me a PM I can link you to videos you may have not seen that get missed. If not and you meant guest videos, continue to check those out I try to update one every 3-4 months and of course I post quite a bit in here

Have a great weekend hope this helps and thanks for the nice comments
Mike

Welcome Shaun

No trickery here just good old simple chart reading with some simple concepts. Time and practice is what it takes. But seems you are willing to put that in

Welcome and have a nice weekend

I started s**t a couple months ago. Being a researcher for JPM, I thought fundamentals and micro-technicals' were everything. Then I read Jim, randomly as he popped up in a Google search. Spent a month reading this thread and relentlessly (lots of pages but not 6000; not even Einstein could cover so much in a month) followed and learnt. What Jim taught me was a perspective pertaining to absolute price action being completely predictive of short term gains to deliverance. lol.

Jim, 5 years ago you started this, and you're one of the few who can share his knowledge indifferently. Going through this tread I can feel your pride. I like to only think and hope that we can all be the same, aspire to your example.

Heres a couple cents of mine. Ill come around again if I get time. JPM does me no favours but I still enjoy the socio-political aspects of it which is why i stick to it.

Hats Off Buddy..

hey Avanish, have u tried such a ride?

Trust me, the experience is anything but cool. When you're hanging on a wobbly railing for your dear life . . .

We have the problem of overloading of everything that can be potentially boarded. Ships, buses, rickshaws (the local taxi), trains, even donkey carts.

Ideally pinbars should be on swing high/low. That one looks like it's just in an area of congestion IMHO.

I am with biDc here,

That pin bar was better off moving away from a period of congestion rather than forming within it.

What would have an A+ setup looked like?

Refer to the second chart. See the space marked by the yellow lines which is practically absent in the original setup?

This AUDJPY at the end worked fine although it was risky to keep the position open during NFP

Thanks, Pat

I'm watching this as well, daily close below 86.00 makes this look promising and we also have a nice space to FTA/EMA150

BEOB formed in daily TF, closed below the trendline and round number 86.00. H4 TF, pinbar formed retested the trendline.
