Hi Tinorio,

thanks for showing interest to help to improve this EURUSD. It is derived from Geoffs GBPUSD v5a and I optimized the setting after maximum profit. That means:

start time 0
GMT offset 0
ema 20
S/L 65
t/p 28
t/p2 46
tl s/l 28

Today however it did not create any trades when I started to testrun it on Alpari uk demo version. Attached plse find the files to donwload. Thanks again for showing interest into this.

You're using Alpari Uk, dont I have to input the targets sl/tp/tp2/tl like 650/280)460/280???

Do you think you can do for V6 as well?
Ignored
Hi Victor,

i am not using v6 because I think it did not improve the trading strategy itself but only imrpoves the odd issue about timing which I do not have so far.

Ultimately I have to switch it over but will wait until Geoff is really happy with v6. Let's wait for the guru to come in and see what he suggests.....

Good morning Skyzer FX.

I just ran a report for initial settings in v5a on Alpari demo account from 1st of Feb till 29th of April, which gives 1045 USD profit on 10k lot sizes but with risk precentage of 3% versus your risk percentage of 10.

Doesn't this mean that you have to take a lot more risk to achieve your profit?

EA has closed for profits of $23 Trade 1 and $50 Trade 2, and it's 4 hours into the Asian session. Does EA open new trades if setups are right? (Okay, I'm greedy...)

Hi Orcinus,
the ea should work for 4 and 5 digit brokers. But as I don't know your broker I would suggest you let it test trun to find out.

Hi Orcinus

The EA compensates for 4 or 5 digits, so you just enter TP 65 and if you are using a 5 digit broker the EA will add the extra zero for you!

Hi sellog

The EA is very unlikely to get good results on Yen pairs especially on GBPJPY (the beast), maybe with different start times and settings it could be made to work but for now we concentrate on GBPUSD!

Tinorio,

of course you have permission for modification from me. Geoff is the original author but I am sure that he is ok with it too. I changed the entire parameters but he wrote the original GBPUSD v5a....so all credit has to go to him.

The ultimate goal is to test it for London and New York open especially and then to insert fx options vol indicator to get the scope from the options market. I will send a vol matrix asap......

Hi Haishang and Tinorio

Great work with GBP and EURO and of course anyone can modify the code, this is why I post the .mq4 file so it can be changed!

Do you agree with me that Skyzer FX uses a more risky setup but does not earn more money than in the original one? He did not come back to me any more regarding this discussion!

Would you agree that the best setup is the following:

GBP/USD
ema 10
s/l 140
GMT 0
GMT offset 1
tp1 22
tp2 49
tl s/l 22

and for EUR/USD

ema20
s/l65
GMT 0
GMT offset 0
tp1 28
tp2 46
tl s/l 28

and I still did not test this on v6 but on the old v5a which I think should not make any difference. Do you agree ?

thanks a lot Sandra for the flowers......

I right now let some tests run how we can use it best...Tokyo, european or US opening......let's see
and btw....the live version test on alpari seem to give better results as the demo...I am testing on a classic 1 account and the gbpusd v5a gives a net profit of 1227 usd versus 1123 which I don't understand. The life version should be worse than the demo because of wider spreads. Need to do more testing....I will be the testmonster when we are finished here......

Hi Roman

Yes, V5a is no different to v6 in how the trade is determined, the only difference is the multiple retries on the order in case of re-quotes in v6.

Until I have chance to test the different models I can't really judge which is the better, I certainly don't want to discourage anyone who is prepared to do this essential testing work.

Who knows, between us we may find the perfect setup, I know from my own experience with EA's there can be several performance peaks in optimisation curves and it would not be the first time that I have stumbled upon an idea that turns out to be far better than anything I have found before!

Everyone has a different perspective, aims and risk tollerance so, in my opinion, it is best not to make any judgement until all results are in.

Would you agree?

Geoff

P.S.
SkyzerFX is probably asleep at the moment.
