Hi Tradingmech
Sorry for late response.
Yes, in some way you are right.
The idea of this thread is to find a best possible setting and ST = 140 was so far a reasonable result.
Try optimize EA and work out how it fit your needs in term of the risk management.
See below test of my EA based on the same engine fractals M5/M15 GBPUSD pair.
Trust me, it is not always as that sample.
Please, demo account first!!!.
God luck.

Mac.

Hello all,

Any updates on this system / EA? I'd be interested in manual trading it, but is it only viable during those late hours of the night?
I am NOT an expert. I post to learn from others.

Hi Phantom

Well, yes and not.
As I mention on post#9858 "yes" for education purpose.
Sleep-full and happy trading nights are fiction so in this term "not".
This EA is in some way effective but finally will blow your account out after market weather change.
However I have learned allot thanks to Geoff and others great traders about market and particularly coding which allows me to create my own EA's.
Please see my latest post's so you may notes differences vs original "Tokyo_GDPUSD_v17a";
-progressive orders
-at FiboEx levels
-close orders after Fibo time zone, etc;
and I'm still not happy with results.
Work in progress as I am "another beginner"

Cheers

Mac.

Hi Iddd

Way you so lazy mate?
Read post# 1 first, please.
However you're warm welcome Sir..

SETTING THE GMT OFFSET.

1. Broker time is offset from GMT by + or - x hours

So set the GMT offset to this + or - x hour value.

Thus you have compensated for the difference between your brokers time and GMT,
so you can now specify all times as GMT.

2. The Tokyo session starts at 0:00 GMT but I use the candle before this i.e. 23:00 GMT.

So the start time is set in the code to 23.

Hi MacMG,

The information you posted about FXCM's MT4 platform is out of date. We do not use BT or any other third party bridges for our MT4 accounts. Our platform will appear as FXCM MetaTrader 4 on your computer. We offer FXCM clients two different GMT offset options: GMT and GMT+2 (for New York Close charts).
