Hi Red I just found this thread and thank you for starting it. I like how you are trading and my goal is the same. I notice you are a swing trader and I am trying to really define my swing trading and sometimes it is not that easy. I know you can get in moves on 1 min chart, 5m min, 30 min ect... anyway would you mind posting a breakdown of how long you expect to be in a trade (your goal which obviously can change at anytime depending on how the trade is going) based on your time frame entries?

I am also bullish on eu by the way as I bought this dip earlier this morning after the news releases on eurusd causing the selloff (pullback) from last weeks economic report releases on bullish usd news (just noise to me in the uptrend I believe another run up but overall it will come back down I think. I am long for a retest of 1.4xxx whichever the market reaches. if not I will have locked in profit at least.

I look forward to hearing your answer on the tf question. by the way the entry for my eu long was on a 1 and 5 min chart watching the bucket action setups.

I will post a master candle formation for u to see.

This is a master candle on eu chart. Its a momentum candle and it serves as a support/resistance level. We also have a strong support around 3900 as a confluence point.

Well no. Those are ordinary candles. Little arrows are swing points where I measure swing projections and fibo retracements.

PA is an indicator by itself. The basic of PA is buying support and selling resistance. If I swing trade I need a confirmation of a trend on any TF. Then I make entries on lesser TF. We have a congestion zone on m15 at the moment.

Oh I agree with you, I was just wondering if you had this as an indicator that paints for you (kind of keeps you from having to do the legwork), but I guess not. THanks again though

Ok time for me to take some action, but to do so i need a PLAN.

A Trading Plan!

This is my trading plan which i will follow.

I will plot supply and demand zones across all pairs on 4hr tf.

I will consider other areas of interest eg. trendlines (for confluence)

when price is approaching my zone, i will drill down to lower tf to
look for my trigger bars.

I will look to put my stop behind the supply or demand zone, where possible, this is subject to price action.

My target, i will look to have targets @ the source of the drop or rise from a previous supply or demand zone.

At supply and demand zones i will look not only look for reverse bars but continuation bars if i am already in a trade.

Theory....

Priceaction has some great videos of Sam seiden talking about supply and demand. i will study these, so i can "own" this method of trading.

Anyone wanting to comment feel free to chime in.


Ps @ Red, the 4hr has nothing to do with RR or less noise or any of that jibber jabber it is purely.......it suits me.

Tonight is going to be plotting S & D across all pairs

yep, sounds fine and it suits your personality and thats when you feel at ease when trading which is important

Im just wondering if i have zones that are on 4hr, what would be a sensible t/f for trigger bars. i would think to toggle through from 5m to 15m and see what crops up.

would you say i need to be flexible on this ?
