Close of daily bars

Newbie question: it it up to the individual broker to decide when to close the daily bar?

Also, working with daily bars, would you recommend that I check the bar once a day or several times a day looking for price action. I know it's basic stuff, but Im new at this and could use some guidance. I would imagine the best time would be at the close of the bar.
Am I wrong?

1. Brokers close daily bar when they close the hourly bar that they opened on 23:00 by their server time.

2. If you trade on the daily chart then it's better to take on the account only the closed bars.

You need to check with your broker to find out when daily bars open/close. A lot of them use 1700 ET which is the unofficial close of the US session and beginning of the Pan-Asian sessions.

A daily bar is going to close 24 hours after your broker starts providing data on Sunday night/Monday morning (depending on where you are in the world).
