Hey Ash, I was going to email Saxo and ask them for their side of the story. let me know if that'd be OK with you.
Ignored
Thanks for the offer but I am sorting this out through my people and personal means even though I haven't heard anything from them in over a month even though I have been escalating the matter through the chain of command.

Okay confused, how do they take back 27K+ did they cancel a lot of your profitable trades ?? on what ground did they cancel these trades and how many are we talking about to make 27K+ ??

I presume they haven't cancelled all of your profits, how much profit have you got left ??

This is why I have the 20K max account value rule, being dumped back to 10K beginning of every month not trusting brokers with this kinda money.

No, they havent cancelled all of my profits, only the large ones and as far as their platform going down and loosing out, they refuse to refund that amount, as well.

i've had issues with oanda before where a trade was screwed up and lost money. But Oanda refunded it back without even me complaining first. So you got your diamonds in the rough.

I have had some serious issues of late with oanda, They are not a dirty broker as I have used them for over 4 years now and never had a problem transferring money into my bank account. Anytime, any amount.
The problem is they are becoming not so clean, Have you noticed that when you enter a stop loss value it is not longer exact but rounded up. I.E you put in a stop of 50 pips and on your ticket is says 54.7 pips. 4.7 more pips for oanda. Also this happened to me yesterday and I am still trying to sort this out with them, Entered two positions at different times one long AUD/USD and long USD/CAD. Even though the ticket and platform both said they were long positions they were really short positions. As the price moved in my favor I was actually losing money. Never-ever has that happened to me.
Just Trade It

oanda should just charge a comm instead of playing these games to make money, here's the problem, there spreads are so cheap its hard for them to offset these trades to there LP with a profit, so they play little games to compesate for that.

It doesn't get rounded they are just adding the spread. I personally find that annoying too. They got lots of complaints from novice traders that do not understand the implications of the bid/ask spread and mid-price candlestick charting so they changed this behavior. But you can still modify the order to the price you want.

Your measurement of whether a broker is dirty or not is whether they let you withdraw funds? Wow...

Actually, I think in the US, with an ECN they're allowed to revert trades that are mistaken, while dealing desks are not.

It's the new rule....

Good clarification of the rules, thanks.

As I had mentioned to Ash in another thread, I too had a 'data feed' error with the 'outfit' in question.
Not to be a fear monger but, was never resolved to my liking.
C'est la vie.

Ash, I do hope the issue does indeed get resolved to your liking

Regards.

You got stiffed for 27K over a month ago? And you got stiffed again a few days ago? Why in the world are you still trading with them? Just saying.

Keep the pressure on and don't give up on it. That's what they're hoping for. I hope it goes in your favor.

Also, try your home state Attorney General. The more activity you can generate, the better. The AG will probably, at a minimum, send out a few letters. Depending on your state, even though it's an out of state/country matter, your state AG may be able to prevent a foreign company from doing business in your state. That's a pretty big hammer.
