Yesterday the IGIndex platform failed to close my trades repeatedly. No problem placing them, but closing when in huge profit was impossible.
I know of 2 other people experiencing the same problem, some who handed back a lot of profit to IG and I'm sure there were many more as it took ages to get through on the phone.
Two coincidences yesterday:
1) The market moved hugely giving plenty of easy profit opportunities.
2) IG are about to launch a new platform next week.
In every bank i have worked, when a system goes down, it fails over to a backup. So why didnt IG's web system fail over?
I cant help thinking yesterday was testing of the new system's server processes to introduce delays when closing trades during volatile times.
I'm sure IG wouldnt want to screw profitable customers though. Maybe someone from the company can comment here?

If it's too good to be true, it probably is.
