Tony, the calendar is quite busy this week. Thoughts on which ones you'll trade? I tend to stay away from speeches...

I am not so sure about that yet. I get some positive and negative slippage on exits, so that is a wash I think. Entries are fine with this technique. The hard part is choosing the SL and TP to deal with the spread and exit targets (exits are always my issue). What is not to like if you get 100 pips TP (or even 60 pip TP) with a 30 pip SL on one out of three trades, or one out of two if you are lucky? I've been trying it with straddles and it works sometimes. I get a lot of break-even trades, some losers, and a some winners that make up the losses and more.

Sorry for the late reply. I will trade crude oil, min bid rate, ecb conference, and cad core cpi, all with a 16 pip sl. As simple as that. The speech: try 1 or 2 attempts max with a 12 pip SL.

I placed the proper long entry 2 minutes before announcement, pulled stop to b/e after initial pop and let it stop out. I was pretty convinced that long was the proper direction and was right, just not initially.

Been awhile since I commented in a forex system here in FF. But this topic really grabbed my whole attention in every way possible...

And I'm very close to finding my nirvana state, where I can finally feel and see for myself how the mindset of forex really works for the sucessful side around the world. So I can join the party aswell, yes you all heard me I believe it's 100% a mindset, imo it's stupid to believe in systems where 1000 indicators exists in 1 tpl and pray to be lord of pips in the next day...

Overall, I read a few posts about Tony and I was super inspired, since my story is similar to his. But let's get going shall we?

Times have changes, a 10 pip on the 5 second chart isn't the same as it used to be in 2007

I've trading hundreds of millions of dollars with oanda since the beginning and do not trust you anymore. Because the broker has become weak and slips my orders nowadays. Times have changed and you have too. I was able to tolerate you but you have pushed the limits too far. I quit you!

At 10:30 there was a big movement(gapping), ask price jumped from 48.63 to 48.979 in 1 tick. Thus your stop is executed at the first available price after it ran over your stop lozz.
