I'm sorry that the amount of "bother" that you require doesn't meet your standards. Yes, I have read the entire thread, this is why I've chosen to interact, per your own invitation, with the thread's participants; to expand upon trying to understand the thread's content and learn the subject matter.

This thread is truly a diamond in the ruff. Strat, you are a worthy soul for putting this up & sharing your life-time of market wisdom with ner-do-wells such as myself.

I'll just retire to a "lurker" status until such time as I might "measure-up", but what you're offering-up is pure gold.....and I'm going to absorb as much of it as I can.

I have been watching this pair too and noticed we have been in a consolidation for a while. I am missing what you are reading. To me it appears that we are near the bottom of the range (nice support around 106 and change) and may bounce back up to the top. Unless of course the consolidation ends. Since we were in a downtrend previously and these are usually continuation patterns, a break to the downside may be more probable than to the up. Is that what you are seeing?

Not looking for spoon feeding here, just need the light turned on so I can see.

What it is doing is distracting you and stopping you from learning PASR. As long as you have an indicator on your chart you will not be focused 100% on PASR.

I have never mentioned MACD, and my question was not about MACD so I dont understand why we've changed the topic.
But if you ask, I don't use it , I can barely see at the bottom of that chart. In fact I don't use moving averages that much neither.
What I was trying to ask, was about 1.7200 area on EURAUD and why it is not good S/R zone. It looks strong on the daily and weekly charts doesn't it?
Also I was asking about USDHUF PASR, but onces again we have changed the point on why do I trade USDHUF.

The Worker looks to be following orders nicely having already found support around 133.65ish ready for a quick run up to 138.70ish

Peter, you may have read the entire thread BUT you have NOT understood each post. Had you done so, you would KNOW that we NEVER buy off a Shooting Star and conversely NEVER sell off a hammer.

This shows that you have NOT put in the time reviewing thousands of Shooting Stars and Hammers on thousands of charts.

Everyone is encouraged to post on the thread BUT not examples of doing the opposite of my teachings

Don't worry Corbett, you are not alone! For the life of me, I cannot figure USDCHF out and so I stay well clear of it until such time as I understand it. For me, there are far more obvious trades than messing with something that baffles me.

Alter, I have a “go” at everyone and anyone who posts indicators on this thread, mainly because I know they are a waste of time and space BUT, just in case someone has found a way to get meaningful information from them that is otherwise not seen in PASR.

So, if you don’t use it, why is it on your chart taking up valuable space that you could use for PASR and adding extra load on your CPU?

With regard to EURAUD, I was hoping others would answer you on this because (i) I don’t have sufficient data on this and (ii) I have deleted it from my watch list.

Anyway, looking at the BOSS, the 1.7200 support was broken during week ending July 31. This week’s candle is currently testing it as RESISTANCE. You should be watching to see what happens around psycho 1.6900

The Worker, as expected, is following the BOSS’s orders.

I will NEVER give advice on exotic pairs for the simple reason that people on this thread should not be looking at anything other than the major and minor pairs. Furthermore, unless you a have a six figure trading account and are highly successful with the midas touch, I wouldn’t recommend even looking at such pairs.

Now knowing what the BOSS tells us, look again at the Worker. Are we at a “pause” in the immediate downtrend or have we found sufficient support to resume the prior uptrend? The candle prior to the Bond hammer on my data is a doji which tells me the sellers have gone for a coffee break.

Some sellers came back and drove prices down to the level where some buyers were resting who overcame the sellers and took price higher where they met more sellers thus creating the Bond hammer. So we have, with the Bond hammer, tested both support and resistance in one fell swoop. What information does this tell you and how would you react to it?

Thanks for your comment. I did not mean to say you are arguing, I was only trying to show what I think I saw on the chart.

I am also still not done with reading the whole thread, I am at page 122ish I think. Your method is similar to mine but yours deep into some areas that I usually overlook and I am willing to learn those stuff from you.

I have sent a message to Naws to be added to the 'Path of Learning' but still have not heard from him. How else can one join?

Just hang in there - I think Naws is still waiting information from Lance - if he has your information then you're "in".

Craig - after my readings and knowing how much emphasis there is on TLs I can see that you have the major up TL missing from your chart.

Flick to a line chart and join up all the lows on your chart and extend it thru to the top of the chart.

Now see where that bond hammer sits - directly under that rising TL. Now this could be a test of the BO of that TL, so I would not long that pair unless I had convincing PA that told me it was back on trend - ie a Break above and then a test of that break.

PA is squeezed between that rising TL and your major SR level at 85.

Draw a micro-trend line from the highs down thru that 2 leg move down.

Also have a look at that last peak. Looks like an expanding triangle to me and the BO of that pattern? At the top of a move this would be considered bearish too.

It could however be a test of the SR BO of the 85 level from 21 Jul.

CADJPN is also hugely linked to the indices as CAD is a currency that performs well as long as the economy is firing on all cylinders. See if you can plot this pair relative to the S&P 500 and see if there is a matching correlation - I suspect there will be? (At work so no charts)

I'm guessing that it's also linked to the carry trade as yen is cheap to borrow and CAD has higher interest rates - but as soon as things turn sour again there is the potential for everyone to pay off their yen borrowings and the yen to strengthen?? And I am, from a funnymentals point of view, still very weary of this indices rally - I'm convinced we'll see a bad autumn like other black Octobers before it - the markets have memory!

So, rambling complete - not enough there for me to long (as you said too) but they do say trends go on for a lot longer than people think - the up trend line here and how PASR develops around that will be the key thing to watch on this pair I think!
