Before I switched to trading off of the daily chart I traded off of the hourly chat with MT4 running on a T-Mobile Wing (HTC Hero) with Windows Mobile 6. Although the MT4 platform is a bit stripped down it worked fine.

I had my home computer send my text messages when I need to check the charts and I placed/adjusted trades from my phone.

I traded this way for a couple of years with no trouble.

I am finally getting my patience under control, and have been focusing on the reasons not to enter trades, as opposed to the reasons to enter trades.

The result;

Less trades, more profit.

Last month I made 25 trades with 15 losers, for a draw down of about 8%.

This month I have made 8 trades with 1 loser (3 of these trades are still open and running in profit), for an equity increase of + 2.5%

Thanks for all of the help and encouragement. It's finally all starting to come together.

Closed my gbp-nzd long today. +650 pips.

Nice number, but the position size was so small I will be looking for a better entry later. I'm not willing to keep paying that swap as it runs against me for what amounts to a pretty small payout.

It tends to end after the Labor Day holiday.....so I would say Sept 7th or so. It could be before then, but traditionally the summer "ends" on that day for most people.

Thanks for the post. I think that the Swiss have MAJOR issues on their hands due to all those bad loans as well......I wouldn't want to be a SNB banker these days.

The one thing about trading the weeklies is that you will see the set up for a long term run soon.....just be patient my friend.

Maybe this is the best time of year to be sitting and watching? When the direction does reveal itself it should be a good run?

Well, the idea is that when the larger sized traders and investment banks get back to work, it should throw the market in a direction.....

When that happens - it tends to be kinda obvious.

This chart shows the validation of the head and shoulder on the 4hr chart. The TL1 (trend line) was broken and price moved down to test the neck line which coincide with the TL2. TL2 and the neck line were later broken and both confirmed. This chart also show the successful break of the pin bar at neck line support.

This formation could provide about 600pips. The question is could price reach the 1.2160 (S1) target area for the h&s formation? If price does reach the target, I might as well target the S2. However, since forex is full of supprises, I will look to reverse my position if the TL3 is broken and confirmed.

The EUR has shown us a couple of reasons to be short. It appears that the beatdown is on.

That's funny!

I wished I would have played that weekly pin along side you but I managed to short cad/jpy to 7914. It was the doji -pin garbage that got me in.

Oh well, on to the next one.
