Hi y'all,

:A Request:

I have a large number of indicators here, from many different people. However I am looking for a weekly pivot point indicator that has an adjustable timezone (time zone). And a nice thank you to all the people that created these indi's.

That is I would like to be able to do weekly pivots based on Monday 2am through to Monday 2am as my servers are based in Cypress and hence their 2am is GMT midnight.

I would also like to be able to 7am to 7am so that I get the NY's EST pivot lines. Cause my programming skills are very limited, actually to be really honest they are non-existant.

Can anyone change any of these into an timezone adjustable weekly pivot indicator please?

Auto-Pivot Plotter Weekly V1-00 plots the weekly pivots with a good history but does not all you to change the timezone.

Pivots (SDX-TzPivots) 3 plots a range of pivots according to your time choice but does not do weekly.

Auto pivot plotter v1-41 plots daily pivots timezone adjustment.

AllPivots v2 does all pivots but does not allow for timezone shift.

If anyone is able, it would be nice if the indicator, could have pivots calculated in this way for the weekly.

Pivot Point = (Last_Weeks_High + Last_Weeks_Low + Last_Weeks_Close + This_Weeks_Open) / 4

Remember that the end of Last_Weeks_Close would be close of bar at 1:59am and This_Weeks_Open would be Monday 2:00am.

A limited history of previous weeks pivot data would be fantastic too.

Thank you very much...

Here are a few more indi's

Again, another very big thank you to whoever has programmed these, I would not have a clue how to programme them.

Here are the last 7 that someone might like or be able to re-programme for me.

Thanks

I have a similar interest in this topic. Too bad there hasn't been any response yet.

Which of the pivot indicators come closest to what you want to do?

I would want these features:
* User-controllable hourly offset, to control the effective "00:00" time.
* Show historical data, not just the most recent. It is important to be able to review past pivot data and see if and how PA respected the levels.
* Daily, Weekly, Monthly, ... anything else?? (H4, H8, Sessions for US, Tokyo, London, etc.??)
* Intelligently handle Sunday candles (by probably merging it with Monday data ??)
* Here's a stretch: support a user-defined candle, drawn with a rectangle, where the values would come from another broker's feed. Therefore, if my broker closes too early on Friday, or opens too late on Sunday, I could enter a supplemental candle(s) that would change the calculations. (Just thinking out of the box here...)

It can be a tricky thing to create a near-universal pivot indicator with daily, weekly and monthly values, which work on all brokers, regardless of Sunday candles and various timezones. Having said that, though, it seems to me that the reason any pivot value would have merit would be because a sizeable portion of the market is paying attention to it. Therefore, if the value is based on close time, and open time, it might be best to find out which broker feed has the best window of time for open and closing times, and the daily 00:00, and use whatever values it calculates. (Open a demo account with that broker). You could use almost any data feed for reasonable daily pivots (if the program supports offsets), but for the weekly pivots, I think it may be more broker dependent.

(1) Pivots (SDX-TzPivots) 3.mq4
(2) Auto-Pivot Plotter Weekly V1-00.mq4

(1) Is a daily timezone pivot that works well for timeframes one hour or under. If your timezone is 1, 2 or 3 hours off GMT AND you are using 4 hour charts, it gets confused and gives incorrect daily pivots.

(2) Is a great weekly pivot plotter. Except it has no timezone adjustment. It always starts at Monday midnight. So if you have a GMT server it will give you GMT pivots accurately.
However, if you have an EST server it will give you EST pivots accurately.

My problem is I'm based in Australia and with even big companies like IBFX (GMT) or MBTrading (EST), I get very slow execution, and will get requoted 2 to 3 times during non-news times. So using the bigger brokers on those timezones just doesn't work.
Any other time zone I don't get requoted at all.

However, if someone could put in a timezone feature on the weekly pivot I could get both GMT and EST weekly pivots and not have slow server execution. I am working on one myself, but with very little programming skills it is very difficult.

hallo all...

maybe if you ever see mt4 pivot that:
1.have history (we still could see old pivot level, so we could study from that by scrolling back)
2.have shift time (so we able to choose the daily rollover)
3. have middle level (like between R1 and R2 there level in that)

i've search and try so many pivot but never find pivot mt4 like that, so if you know would you share it...

thanks you very much...

ps: that for daily pivot, if there is weekly or monthly pivot like that i would love to...thanks...
I will be the number one Manager.

Here is an indicator, which draws daily, weekly and monthly pivots, support and resistance levels. All lines are drawn from the beginning of the timeframe (daily levels - from the beginning of the day etc.). For more information go here.

Hello fellow traders,

I need some help with a mq4 file (metatrader template for the not so clued up). The attachement is for a multiple pivot automatic calculator.

It is a brilliant design and work well done. I am mainly interested in using it for the 4hr pivot, however it can do several others.

The problem is this:

the lines are too thick!!

I can adjust them with difficulty and then save as a new template. However when I then change time frame it goes back to original settings.. i think you get the picture. Any help would be fab.

For assistance on this i shall certainly share a trading technique..

To Billy,

Once i have the pivotcustom_ in place and on several pairs, there is a problem in experts.
Have you noticed in the experts area on mt4, there is a continuous feed of what seems to be errors. Could you check it out and let me know what you think. This is also partly the reason i was gonna look for a different indicator.

The work by Billy is T is fabulous. I uploaded the new version you sent earlier and took of the others from other charts. The error in experts has gone away. So whatever you changed is now flawless. I will make the S and R lines black on a black background. But if you do come by this message could you please assist again. By changing the code thing so i dont have S and R lines for any time frame.

Thanks again.

Hi James,
just noticed your replies.
I haven't got the time to look at it just now, but will have a look at it
next week.
so you want the S & R levels removed, for Monthly, Weekly, Daily & 4 Hourly, & just leave the 4 pivot levels in
is that correct?
sorry if I sound a bit thick, but it's 2:00 am here at the moment, & I'm headed for bed.

Cheers,
BT
