My condolences .
i have a question to whom could answear this.alittle bit oftopic but its always my problem .
look at the 2 charts below ,the first is H4 chart and price is still above the TL and second is H1 but price have broken the TL and now pulls back to it .
which one is correct?

i have missed this EU 4h pullback. i'm wondering whether i should enter now and take profit at 21.but, there is a lot of news are going to publish.
Will see how it develops.

the EU price went down and toughed the 21 already. r we waiting for the TC?
Sorry to hear Palmer, you are such a good and giving person, my thoughts are with you and your family.

Phillip, good to see. There was a nice pin bar on the GBPUSD 4H, but no MACD signal. I down loaded a 2nd version of MT4 with a one hour later close, and on this version the GBPUSD 4H did give a TC with a nice looking pull back.

I passed on both, due to the Thanksgiving holiday in the USA. I am guessing that it will be a wild rest of the week, and a good time to stay out.

how is it going on.... the 1H EU turn back after the 4H toughed the 21.i think its going to Continue it bullish trend,but, when is gonig to enter. the opening of the 4H macd signal or look for 1 hour early entry? how to know what the candle tell u?(such as morning star,hammer, hanging man,)what they tell u?

Yeah, seems like its droping rapidly right now. I wonder however, how come you didnt take the trade at the close of that nice bullish candle (before that hanging man showed up) on the 1 hour? What made you wait to take the trade? Do you want a close above the 8 and 21 ema on the 1 hour before entering or did something else make you take the decision to wait?

Luckily for me I was at work and busy at the time of the bullish candle otherwise I would have taken it. It was a nice pullback with bullish candle on the 1H. So sometimes work is not bad at all.

Hi everyone

Something that really helped me understand the markets a lot better was to put the standard 4hr moving averages on a 1hr chart. The attached charts are 1hr charts with the 4hr moving averages. I actually stopped looking at the 1hr moving averages because I found them much too unreliable, the 4hr moving averages are the real key moving averages in this method. (To clear standard MA's from 1hr chart right click -> properties -> Visualization -> Untick all time frames -> Untick 1hr).

This setup allows me to watch the 4hr market rhythm with the detailed price action of a 1hr chart without switching back and forth, and helps you to much better understand the 1hour early entry method, if you wish to learn it.

I have attached the MTF Moving average indicator below, and my template. If you want any help with the indicator let me know or look at descriptions in the mql editor.

Hi bshadroo,
I don't know how to fix that problem, but I know it bugs me too. Often I'll draw a TL on daily and can see that price is quite distant from that line. Then I'll drop to 4hr, and price is happily trampling all over the same line....makes it hard to trust the TL sometimes - wondering if its correct.
If anyone knows how to solve this technical issue, would love to know how!

Hello again. I hope some of you found my use of the 4hr moving averages on the 1hr charts useful.

My next idea is in using the daily 8EMA and daily 21EMA on the 4hr charts. When the daily charts are in rhythm it is possible to look for an early entry TC on the 4hr charts!!
The charts below show the recent GBPUSD Bearish run. These are 4hr charts. The areas in the blue rectangles may confuse because price is zig-zagging over the 21EMA but sometimes they are just rhythm pullbacks in the daily chart!

With the round tops shown in the second chart you are actually looking for an early entry to a daily trend continue using the four hour charts.
The MTF Moving Average Indicator is attached in my post in the previous page. The inputs for the 21 daily EMA on the 4hr chart would be

TimeFrame - 1440
PERIOD - 21
Method - 1
AppliedPrice - 0
