I did not enter the EurUsd short from the 21ema as it was sleeping time for me. I also did not want to put a limit sell order as I did not know how price is going to react with all the moving averages clogging together. It worked out well for some of you. Well done.

Unfortunately, It take me out @ BE after moving 40 pips to south. The fourth BE trade this week. May be I need to take 50% of table @ R:R =1 and let the remaining to run @ BE.

BE for me is a winning trade because you planned it that way the same way if your stop has been triggered or your profit target has been met. If it goes according to your plan positive or negative I count that as a winning trade. It is when you alter your plan that I count it as a loser unless there is enough reason for you to do so which also makes a part out of your original plan for the trade taking in account coming news etc etc etc.....

Dear Phillip,

Look at NZD/USD. I remember you mentioned this pattern before " M within W".

Yes. Treat it as the rules say and the profit will come. First a close above the 21ema then a pullback and move towards the 89sma and the same rule at the 89sma until you get to the 200sma. There is also a trendline from 26/07/2018 and treat that with the rules. All this pattern gives you is that when it moves in the ways you have marked out with the blue lines you will have a plan in place. The green is the other possibilities.

Hi Phillip!!

I'm very happy to see your postings again....Welcome back! Good to hear you had a good recover!!

Last years I did had some trips to other things and systems. I tried to learn your 4HMACD. in demo it worked out....but in real life I was too hasty to get in. Also the point of TP was a problem.... just 20pips or.... and yes often I wanted to much or much to less from the market. For overcoming this thing I tried to find a solution. Tried some things out and at the end I learned seriously HEW (Harmonic Eliot Wave) and added it to your 4HMACD. It didn't matter what I tried it just did not worked out for me. Strange because the MarketRhythm looks like a beauty if the Rhythm comes along. Well I've got a little lost with the 4HMACD...and at the end I came to the conclusion the 4H-chart is not build for me as trading chart. For some time I also stopped trading...in the meantime my 2 beautiful kids were born and offcourse they also were using and still using my sparetime)....I thought about trading..... learned also Market Profiles (also very interesting!!)... read and learned a lot about trading and markets behaviour ... have now build the oh so needed patient before triggering a trade.... at the moment I do not mind anymore if I miss a "perfect" chance...there will come another one....

Finally I did picked up your so called MarketRhythm. I did transformed it to a 1H system (based on the MarketRhythm) together with Pivot-Points and Heiken Ashi. On papertrading it is working nicely for at least 6months for now for the main pairs (EURUSD / AUDUSD / GBPUSD / USDCAD / USDJPY) So since 1 September I finally feel comfortable to trade with it. I'm really curious how it works out in real-trading now.

Indeed Phillip...."I had and still have a nice journey"

Anyway....the MarketRhythm you did show in this thread is a real steady and actually also a pretty constant factor in all the years I did follow it actively. H1 / H4 / Daily....actually it doesn't matter which time-frame. It really can give you the needed edge if used wisely. For me it really opened my eyes and made me incredibly curious about trading! Thanks for that

All the best to you Phillip!!
You can manage risk, but you can't manage the return

Hi. Yes it is not an easy system if you cannot stick to the rules and discipline yourself not to jump the gun. One has to be very patience with this strategy. The other thing is to not try to take profit to early when there is a temporarily pullback in a certain 4hour candle if there is no reason to do so like news etc..... But may you be successful with your trading from now onwards. Thanks for the feedback.

Stopped out in NZD/USD.

This Week I took 9 trades: 2 Winners, 3 Losers, 4 BE.
Total for the week 6 pips.

I didn't post three trades AUD/JPY +70 pips and GBP/CHF - 40 pips and CAD/JPY BE.

I'm happy with this results because I learned from them.

CAD/JPY:
broke TL and retraced to 21 EMA. I waited for the news which comes slightly negative and sold it.
I know its Friday, I'll show how it works.

There is not a lot of learners that can say they ended up positive after a week trading like the one we had. Lots of ups and downs and MA's coming together as well as lots of T/L's etc etc. Well done with your BE trades. If it is possible see if you cannot take some profit of the table like say 1 to 2 pips per trade that you tend to set at BE. You will be amazed at how many pips that results in a years time.

Well done. I had opportunities but for me to take advantage of that I had to put in Limit orders but I decided against that as it all would have triggered while I was sleeping. In the beginning of my trading I would have set my alarm clock but I am over that. There is enough opportunities during my normal daily hours.

Dear Phillip,
I was stopped out. They took me out exactly at the high of the candle. I'm so surprised that occurred at demo as my entry wasn't real. This isn't the first time on demo to take my stop then go on my direction.
The huge red one was after Trump added another teriffs on China.
I was in USD/JPY @ 61.8 Fib retracement + Retest of Broken TL

Here is my trading for the week. The last 2 trades today was done pure because the Unemployment rate was worse then expected and I came after the meal so I entered below the trendline watching it and closing it manually. With the Eur to the South African Rand @17.59 it is not bad for me.

Hello Phillip,

Greeting from Indonesia.

I have been a silent reader since I found this thread back at 2008. I can't thank you enough. It was one of my main discovery and played a major role in my life.

So happy to see your writing again, Philip. I wish you the best of life can give.
Own your own mind.

I cannot give comments on these pairs as I don't follow them. I purely can give from a market rhythm perspective to what I see in front of me and not from news related as well as how it moves in terms of world news etc. I have been following the EurUsd since 2006 and developed a feel for it.
