{quote} 20th Dec I went short @1.3670 (i am sure the trade looked okay when i took it) Price was in the red for a while and I had to go to work so i moved my stop loss to over 1.3900 to stop any sneaky long tails that i suspected may happen..(stop loss hunting people like to call it) i didn't really expect price to go that high.... But of course looking back its easy to see that a long was coming once it passed over the 89 on the H4. The next time i checked the charts i was losing over 200 pips... i was shocked...really shocked my biggest loser...

Great trade Richard! The EU went down to sub 1.36.
To endure that 200 pips unrealized loss surely teach us something.

I still learn how to effectively intervened my trade.

Update: jump back in EU @1.3650 (after the price broke ema 21 on the daily chart), targeting SMA 89 (1.3560) and maybe take the trade down to 1.35 (if there is still enough momentum).

Salam sukses Richard!!

Hi Philip,

Thank you for this videos. I can see you use the Fibo heavily and how
you decide whether to get into a trade or not based on rational R:R.

And your explanation on USDJPY is an eye opening. I know it is the thing that you told us again and again. That
we need to examine the H4 chart first then comes down to the lower timeframes to get a better view on entry point.
But still, just by watching you explain it is exciting.

I can't thank you enough.

Right! This video helps me.
Own your own mind.

{quote} Hi Bkk, sorry to hear about that. EURAUD: there is some development since the last chart, I am waiting for a completed pull back (possibly to the 8ema in red)then on the move away down,(if this is the case!) I should be a seller. the pair broke the 89sma by a very strong candle(216 pips!), so now the anticipation is that it tends to go back to it before moving away . the pair is on his move away secured 101 pips. closed trade, hit by the SL:+ 101 pips P.S. Jeez Trademin - 26C wow.....!

I would like to know which are peoples favourite currencies for trading this system.

I am stuck on the EU which is okay by me.

I have looked at other currencies but I don't know them. Yesterday I tried EJ and got burnt in some consolidation.

I read that AUD and NZD trades / trends well and so is good to trade for this system.

I would like to have a few currencies to check in a morning before work so I can check my analysis out.

Obviously people commenting on this forum Binnie, Arrow, Trademin etc (sorry to miss anyone) use this system and have favourite currencies.

So which are they, if you don't mind so i can start checking them too.

Here here,

Philip, thanks for all the videos over the holiday.

Having had the time to spend in front of the charts all day after watching the videos has moved my trading on to the next step.

Just watching a 5 minute video of your trading style is amazing at how simple you make it and i just need to emulate that.

More videos please....1 or 2 a week would be stupendous.

For people who only read the thread and not watch the videos.

Trade in the direction of the market from the H4

Use lower time frames to get a better entry but only in the direction of the H4 (important!) can go to M1 if in the direction of the H4.

I love this one and picked this up from trademin too from his favourite H&S ..... breakout - pullback - move away.... that pull back move away is magic.

Yes! Minus 26C
! (with wind chil coud go to -34-35!) No jokes! I heard on the news that some area in Canada
have had new record “Low”! Amazing! Some parts in the State have been hurt too, like NY as example. What a winter!

I was wandering why sometime I see the charts differently than usual. I can open a trade anticipating what will happen, while sometime I wasn't able to get it properly. It wasn't clear in my mind. I wasn't able to put the finger on the cause creating that.

But when I listened to the videos from M.Nel, I found the responsible key to that kind of situation: Now I look for at good rhythm to be set properly, well establish on the chart, when it is well define, I have it on my side. When it is all fuzzy, I open the possibility to get a “fuzzy” result. Which pair will I take next, I don’t know, but it will be the smoothest!

Now it is clearer in my mind about that kind of situation, thank you M. Nel for showing me that in your videos. Thank you for taking time to teach us precious “know how.”

Have a nice day,

Yvon

I really can't imagine how cold is that Yvon. I kinda think it would be harmful
for someone used to live in the tropical climate like me

M. Nel's videos almost works like magic, it shows different things to different traders.
I just hope I can learn the summary of what all of us have learn here. So, at least we can talk
in the same language and understand what others are talking about.

Different understanding, one meaning.

Incorporating those patterns in consolidation areas while trading in the direction of the market will only increase percentage of winners...

cheers

Hi Phillip I have a big request. I know you are very very busy posting and making videos of trades but if possible could you do the weekly anticipation videos like you did before. Maybe discuss some currencies that look good for the week ahead and post it over the weekend. It doesn't have to be all the currencies. Just one or two. I know this is a lot to ask and you've already done so much.

I concur..

That would be great wouldn't it, at least one currency that looks like it's in the groove with the rhythm and an explanation of the anticipation in the coming week.

Thanking Phillip in advance.

hi Arrow,
Just to give you an idea :-19c is probably the temperature of a frozen fish in a supermarket. I don’t think you would be able to hold it (bare hand) for 5minutes.

Now with -26c , it would be less that 5 minutes. Add the wind chill, the temp is about -40C
, how long would you be able to hold the fish? And what about your ears at -40c?

I love summer!

As kids what did you dare each other to do in temperatures that low? touch bare metal and stuff?

This tickled my fancy when I saw it yesterday. Hope you don't mind if I share it with our team.

Here we go :

Got aboard the AU this morning. The more I see Phillip explain the "Breakout/retest/move away" strategy, the more often I tend to see this happening. I am studying all the recent posts and admit it is not simple yet to see the early entry setups using the shorter timeframes. Just got to keep practising and listening to PN.
Meantime, I am gathering thoughts on the various charts because I have not been watching too closely over this holiday season. I have decided to drop some pairs to give more time to being accurate with my own analysis. Especially if I am going to be looking at multi T/Frames . My pairs will be GU /EU /AU /NU / AN /UJ..

Here goes - please comment on any thing at all.

General Question ??

I am looking at the EU and have drawn in some H&S lines from the daily chart. Does anyone else see this pattern or am I off the track altogether.?

The reason I ask is to become aware of what the market is likely to do in the future. Yvon seems to have great success using this pattern in conjunction with our H4 strategy.

Now looking at the H4 chart and I see price rejection at the 21 & 200 ma confluence. My normal approach to find a trade here will be t wait for a strong close away from here and triggered by a TC on the Macd. Space available down to that T/Line Support. Don't mind if it breaks right thru that level and comes back to retest it before continuing down - thus confirming an absolute break of the Daily H&S neckline.
