eu is fooling us. although at candle close about 4h ago it looked like a possible ct enty, it wasn't. that's why I like tc's.

This forum has been pretty quiet lately.

I made 4 trades so far, 3 got be and 1 sl triggered at 56 pips. Personally think that these 2 months has been pretty difficult, one moment up, one moment down and its tough to anticipate the direction I am looking for opportunity now but cannot find a good pattern

I'm being confused by the movement too....When TC pattern occurs, price moved too far. Sometimes I feel 1hr could get better entry before TC happen. Price in 1hr looks like it always bounces off when it went into the 21ma and 8ma zone.

I try to ask FF to move the thread back to the trading system, but I have got no response from the Adm. Phil seems running out of enthusiasm for this thread (can't complain here).

There is another way that we can bring in more participants, if you guys woukld be interested. We can start a trading jounal thread for this system and refer to this thread and you guys can post your traing ideas over the trading journal thread.

Got into this trade, and took my TP already. Price might be a further down, but since this is CT trade, I think I'm quite happy with the result by TP on 21 EMA.

Thinking to long usdchf in 20 minutes time.

D1 morning star forming
H4 just break above EMA21
H1 just break above SMA89 and holding there.
Problem is, no MACD signal yet. Any comments?

Edit: I see bullish divergence and gave it a try. Let's see how it move from here.

Hi Wuming,

Phillip is give update weekly on 6 pairs: EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY, USDCHF, AUDUSD & EURJPY. So I think this strategy at lease work for these 6 pairs.

Here is a trade I did early this morning. I based it off of the 21 MA on the daily much like WG did approx 1 wk ago. Price had found support of the 21 MA on the daily 2 previous times. I went to see how price reacted around 21 MA on the daily on a 15 min time frame and got in when it looked like price was finding support. t.p. was at the top of the range.

Here are my thought on the EUR.
Reasons for a possible short
1) A little beyond the scope of this thread...We have completed the A correction. Notice how the A wave has 3 separate part with the a sub wave a equalling in price (see the fib and compare the price difference...it's almost exact) the c sub wave.
2)The price has hit the 89 MA on the daily, not shown
3) The trendline, in red, showing the overall downtrend on a longer time frame.

Reasons for long
1) Strong belt holding/engulfing candle on the daily, again not show
2) Price has slightly crossed the trendline, but this is a very long term trendline and price doesn't abide by those exactly
3)21 MA and 55MA turning up on the 4 hrs and the daily

Until things are a little clearer, I'll wait

Reason to trade:
1. D1 Price has been in 0.8860 resistance level forming possible double tops in that area.
2. D1 Price also in fibo 61.8 with red bold MA, a strong indication of rejection from that level.
3. H4 forming inversed hammer served as a beacon then confirmed by another pin bar indicating that price has found its resistance from 0.8860 level.
4. Bearish Divergence on H4 & H1, supporting above analysis that price should move down.

Dear henry,

After reading some of your posts, I find that you have a typical mistake that a newbie often makes when learning this strategy. This is the concern on divergency and doing CT trades!

Remember, not only traditional strategy but also Phillip's encourage people to catch the trend, not counter it! Newbies are trading divergency but seasoned traders are finding prices' stalling to catch the trend and cut their position when divergency is coming.

The advantage of Phillip's 4h MACD Strategy is its MAs pattern and a more sensitive MACD setting to let you put the triger. But the disadvantage of it is also the sensitive MACD which always let you get confused in the trend. I find a new method to aviod this, that is classic setting of MACD which is the 12,26,9 setting.

Look at the chart, the classic MACD has a good advantage, if the MACD bars beyond zero line, it definitely can show you a bullish trend, verse vica. If it stays beyond zero. what we should do is to long it. This advantage can give you a good way to do middle term trade, if you catch the trend, you won't quite until MACD goes back to zero, have a try

At daily chart, it has a better view of the trend. you should analyse daily chart first to find the trend, then find certain rhythm at 4h chart with 4h MACD strategy to find an entry.

Have you figured out the EURUSD current move? Price went higher and possible back to downtrend is comming?
Or maybe EUR is on long move for long...

Hi Saka,
This is great! I always thought of MACD the 'newbie' way. I was catching counter trends and wondering how much pips I can get. Whereas I found difficult to start when trend is back. MACD divergence was always an idea of possible trend reversal thus I was more confident to trade DIV.
This resulting in my short positions at EURUSD whereas more than a month EUR is on long move.

hi, lukis
look at the 4h chart I show you, all the most profitable MACD signals are not TC!
