The non-farm payrolls cause a large price spike once a month at 8:30 est. Are there any other announcements that cause this kind of spike on a regular basis?

Its not just the Non Farm Payrolls that Made Euro active today, Its greenspan's comments and Unemployment reports and Really big Opitions that really moved the markets today. Lots of Fundementals Helped the Dollor today Like i was saying in my Euro/dollor discussion the Reversal Phase started since it has crossed the 1.2960 today was a really big move for it lots of dollor support
There are those who know, and there are those who don't know.

It all depends on current situaition of the economy. So if inflation is high the GDP growth does not influence on currency markets very much (if it is not considered that later FED will raise rates to tight inflationary gap). The datas of US have the greatest impact. Now the biggest impact will come from US payments balance release.
kiss the trend
