Well now he's doing the same thing just on a grander scale.... It amazes me how many people follow that clown.

PS thanks for finding that link for me Leon.

hes not a clown. ... he called the fed thing right with the housing.
He's like the rest of the market; getting cut up in chop and praying for a turn. I mean, some of the cra that went on in 2008 is once in a generation type thing. Also, legally, these guys have to disclose their picks.
There are so many bad commentators on the market its almost silly.
Remember peter schiff? they almost through the guy out the window when he called a recession 1 year ahead of schedule. I kept the video because it was hillarious looking back. Hey, if he can announce something and move stocks in the market up a few points, maybe folks can make some money off it. Also, he is right on the etf's pushing entire sectors into the abysss.
I think also, his quality suffers when he does these shows every night. Like everone else, you make a lot of money and the research goes out the window. I would say; he made a ton of money on public BS. You can't focus on 300 gazzilion stocks and pick em right even part of the time. It just don't work that way.

Cramer is a very informative guy.

You may or may not like him -- he seems to polarize his audience.

However, he is very clear, he isn't telling you to make any trades. He's giving you information that you should use as a starting point to make your own decisions.

What he is not is a trading signal. If you think that is his purpose, then you will hate him. He also isn't a buy and hold investor. He is someone who knows a lot about how to make money on the stock market, and if you pay attention to him you might just learn something about that topic.

And, as said above, we have a 100 year storm in the financial markets... cut the prognosticators a little slack, would ya?

Sorry, but all this "buy, buy, buy and "sell, sell, sell" are trading recommendations to me. A real bad ones.

About making a lot of money, well that's highly untrue. He got kicked out from GS for poor performance. Actually, he got kicked out once form CNBC.

The guy is there just for entertaining. CNBC needs those ratings in order to keep selling.

Doing exactly what Cramer says is just as silly as doing whatever some FX expert tells you to do.

The value in Cramer is in his explanations.

Explanations.

I see, the excuses he gives when the Dow drops 500 points after he goes buy a day after. Theorizing about the markets like he does, won't make you money my friend. It's all fantasies made up to lure booyah fools . Are you one of them??

This guy was a former Goldman Sachs Pump N' Dumper. That is how he made all his money, nuff said.

LOL. I don't trade stocks.

However, as Forex traders I don't see how we can be upset at somebody who suggests buying and selling a lot as conditions change. He talks about things that are affecting market moods... investor psychology, behavior of major market players, things like that.

Did all you guys lose money blindly following some lightening round advice or something?

He's an establishment hack. He makes the dumb money go in when the smart money is trying to get out or get the dumb money out when smart in trying to go in.

I remember one of the last shows I watched and it happened to be when Toll Brothers was in the 70's and the CEO was selling (so were Hovnanian and others). He said it was perfectly normal for CEO's to take profit and that everyone else should stay in and there was room to move north. Sure enough this was at the peak (looking back). The stocks all took a nose dive soon after. He also ripped a picture of Schiller on the show saying the guy didn't know anything (Schiller is part of the Case Schiller Index and called housing a bubble).

It's not a matter of him being right or wrong. He's there to move the dumb money in and out so the smart money can keep on keepin' on.

The traders that know what they are doing won't take his word for it and follow blindly. If you are foolish enough to to make your decisions based on financial media, you deserve to lose your money.

I think it's stupid to either buy or sell by taking advise from tv commentators, if they were correct most of the time they'd be running their own hedge funds. Perhaps tv commentators are being 'used' to bring up people's confidence in the market, because after all, the market is affected by peoples confidence, then just cover his ass later when he's wrong.

maybe some elites use this type of show to rally up the stock market temporarily to allow a few people to sell off their stocks?
could be a possibility. lol

Cramer is not on TV for TRADERS - he is there for INVESTORS - investors who do not make decisions for themselves and are looking for outside validation for their guesses.

If he bothers you that much exercise your freedom to cut the tube off.
