It makes what more difficult? And this thread is about the TMA-CG-2024, not indicators that "seem" like this one.

Arrows on TMA CG are based on HH-LL-HL-LL of course repaint, if they are based on TMA-CG arrows there is a greater chance of failure
but if TMA-CG is used to see trends and follow trends then the opportunities are greater

What if the arrow on your TMA changes based on the maximum/minimum value of: price, TMA and other indicators you use?
and use arrows to close order options like me?

your thoughts are unique and strange for many people, because most people prefer the easy way according to them, with full automatic trading

Honestly, I agree with you that trading must be under our control as users/humans, and EAs are only a "manual trading" tool

Ideally, an EA is a trader's trading style, where all of a trader's knowledge, experience and skills have been arranged in an EA as a "manual trading" tool.

Of course, all the settings/parameters are also well arranged in it, including for example activating one function which will deactivate other functions etc

Unfortunately, no, because the arrows are drawn based on the lines. Please analyze what Darwati and a few others have mentioned about the best uses.

That’s just a basic example of using the indicator in an expert advisor. If you want to use it, start a backtest in the strategy tester and create settings for your desired timeframe and currency pair. Understanding how to backtest efficiently and effectively is crucial for success with expert advisors.

If the TMA CG Period is greater than the EMA Period you cannot see the trend and sideway of the TMA

If you want your TMA to show Trend and SideWay, the TMA value must be smaller than the EMA value

I saw several users mention the repainting. Apart from the arrow at the current bar that may appear and disappear, there is a bigger elephant in the room!

It is important to understand what the "CG" in "TMA-CG" means: center-of-gravity; that is: centered moving averages. It means the indicator will use *future* data to draw its lines. For example, if you use a 21-bar MA, it will use the 10 past bars and the 10 future bars to calculate the MA! That gives nice smooth lines, but is obviously not possible on a live chart.

When you drop the TMA-CG-2024.ex5 indicator on a chart, it will use this lookahead data snooping to draw the lines on the chart, but it will behave different for the new incoming bars. Here is the indicator when dropped on an existing chart:

For example, at 8 Feb 02:30 the curve is already slowing down and starts bending downwards even when the price is still going up strongly! How can it do that? It uses future data to know the price will later go down.

Here is the same indicator when used in the strategy tester on a stream of fresh incoming bars (so it can't look ahead in time):

The curves are much less smooth, and at 8 Feb 02:30 it does not know yet that price will go down. Also the arrows are very different!

Lookahead indicators like this TMA-CG can be convenient as a "guide to the eye", but you should not use them as inputs to an EA. In my own indicators, I have separated the calculation algorithm from the bar data and feed the algorithm bar-by-bar. Even on old chart data that is already know. That way I prevent accidental data snooping of future data and ensure the indicator behaves exactly the same on past and on future data.
