I have a question for Ricmi. But before I ask the question, let me introduce myself first.

Two years ago I started trading, It's better to say gambling. I had some wins, some losses. Overall a little profit. Great, but I took an enormous risk to gain the profit.
On that moment I thought, why doing it by myself...It's better to follow signals from experienced traders...yeah :s. That decision costed me a lot of money.
Next stadium was to get more grip on the situation. Everywhere I read they said; always follow your system! So I thought, let's built a system! I have built my own EA using free indicators available on the market. Result: optimized in back testing a dream result off course. In real; not realistic I came to the conclusion I was staring blind at indicators from third parties, only configuring variables in my EA. No idea what I was doing. Still no success.

Now, that is history. I decided to start from zero. Recognizable?

I'm really charmed of the THV system. Besides trying the THV in demo, i read a lot about support/resistance, patterns, what kind of analyse, etc etc. I recognize a lot, but not with that refinement. So I'm a little bit lost in the forex wood right now.

The big question is...what should be your advise where to start. Is there a simple rule set where to start with in compare with THV?
I should be very lucky with a win factor of 60% an risk reward of 1:2.

if you follow decidence rules found in post 14,427 which was recommended in post 1 by Cobra that would be an excellent starting point.

Hi Razor, thanks for your reply. I did already. Maybe I'm to inexperienced. What's your experience with it?
Let's take section two (and my questions about it):

Section 2 - The Set Up
4. Move all Chart TF's to H1
5. Note Trend direction, Trend SR's, Overbought/Oversold status and RSI (how long do I have to look back? Few hours, few days? For example, the last days were a downtrend, last night was up..which one is right?
what do I have to note exactly? It's not clear to me... and what to do with it)
6. Move all Chart TF's to M5
7. Refer to Rule #5 (Same as # 5)
8. Start looking for trading opportunities that will not contradict with notes taken from Rule #5
Eurjpy,lets try this. H&S pattern again,strong resistance area (ema200M5,round number)and 5,15m bullish divergence.Very similar situation is with gbpjpy.

Eurjpy 30M - price is very near prev.monthly high level,rsx is near OB.Maybe its time for exit,will see.Same situation is on the gbpjpy,too.

Yes,you're right,when adr is greater than 200 pips,I change MA length from 60 to 45.

Hi, Apologies I only saw this now. I am new to trading as well but I will try my best to answer based on what I am currently reading through:

It is a good question and there is no right and wrong answer to this, it really depends on what you are comfortable with.

In regards to S/R and Overbought/Oversold it's best to always keep in mind that they are a result of traders decisions and as such, the further back you go the less influence they have on traders current decisions (so me personally I would look at the previous night and not the previous days).

However, and this is important, just keep a look out for significant levels on the higher time frames such as the Overbought and Oversold levels on the daily charts as they will still have some level of influence to traders. I hope this helps.
Sorry couldn't find how to search the thread but when I use the THV v4.01 indicator and set up the divergences to email me. It only emails with "H4 DIVERGENCE ON..." and doesnt tell me what currency. Can anyone explain why? thanks
