edit (11:50): scratched at b/e, not happy with the momentum. Will wait now until the dust settles after US Claims figures at 13:30.

Unable to trade after news yesterday, looks like the hrly H&S played out but a tricky day to trade nonetheless.

Had to pan out to the daily chart this morning to get a fix on S&R...and ranging between pivots atm on the 5min, so no trade taken so far this session. The weekly chart shows the bull-flag quite clearly. I learned from the Genesis thread not to be totally biased by HTF patterns when trading off intraday charts, but that being said having the bigger picture in mind each day is extremely useful.

1st trade today. Liked the 15Stoch divergence to support this entry, all other criteria lining up too off S1.

edit: stopped out for -16.

Dug, I try not to have A view. I have several and watch the order flow and follow. If the order flow is against the trend I move SL to BE quicker and TP quicker than if it's with the trend.

With S1 breaking down, now looking for potential SbR setup on a retrace.

edit: yup, here we go..short from 1.3023 (SL -15)..
edit: 17:05 - took +5 after the previous pin and wkend beckons.
..a better day using Force on EU. Took +30 from the long around 09:45 London signal and in again long now.

+57 short this morning down to S1 and done for the day. Unable to trade yesterday which looked another good day for EU Force signals with the hrly trend.

EU at an interesting level on the daily and could now be setting up on the 5M (short)..daily could also be showing a bull flag, so waiting for PA to lead the way before taking a Force signal in that direction.

PA is slow given the US news later, but I'm in twice from the same price on signals above R1. I wouldn't normally trade into a pivot and round number like this, but I was happy with the risk (16 pips initially) and price action was leading the way and giving me confidence to do so. There have been 2 opportunities to reduce this risk further and now both lots are at breakeven. If they're not stopped 30min or so before the news, i'll close the trades.

edit: out for +10. Flat now ahead of data at 13:30 and 15:00 (UK).

There's an EU R1 re-test signal in play now (although 15M stoch not aligned) which I won't take with 45mins to news.
Will enter on a Force long above the DP. Stochs looking good so far..

I am really liking the way you are trading. The PA is everything. The hourly stochastic is a fantastic filter for trend. Do you know if there is any lag or repainining in the multi-timeframe stoch?
The better setups I can see come as bounces off proven support and resistance areas, especially H4 and daily -however H1 is also great. Force shows nice entries into these trends.

I really like to see either a head and shoulders or a double top or bottom pattern on M5, then look for the force to take over. The 1Hour stoch can help a lot as well.
For those of you that like the idea of using the mtf stochs, attached is another.

You can use the following MT4 indicator (attached bellow) named Stochastic Trader to check instantly if the market is oversold/overbought/neutral and what the Wave is according to the Stochastic indicator and receive alerts whenever any of the above changes for up to ten currencies with a click of a button.

Thankyou so much for sharing this. I will test it out. I agree, it is a good thread. The methodolgy is consitantly profitable and has no smoke or mirrors about it.

That is really good. Just a question on the M5 are you waiting for both of the stoch lines to cross 80 or 20, and or displaying a divergence before considering a trade? I am asking this as the higher timeframe filter with H1 stoch may lead to shallower pullbacks.

I have really valued your contribution. I am learning a lot from this.
