Guys, I'm moving my website to Singapore region (as close as possible to traffic exchange points) and to NVMe SSD (to improve speed of databases used).
So there can be connectivity issues today. Especially with API data endpoint.
Please do not refer to website data in your trading today.

I wanted first of all to thank Rick and Ryan for this amazing work they are sharing with us; really thanks. It's 1 month more or less im reading this thread, and trying to apply the information. In part i come from George's thread, with his target theory, but i never really understood how that target and not the other one could be identified as the target we were seraching for; in hindsight was perfect, in real time...With volume instead its another game. What i saw: trading forex with volume coming from CME is still for me difficult, and at this...

Hi Loppo

Let's get the description of the tools inline with correct market descriptions. The DOM is the tape, Market Dept is the balance we see between Buying and Selling Orders. Generally here we are talking about watching Market Dept to see which side the market will swing too by looking if there is more Buyers or Sellers on the books.

You are correct that on Crypto, Strong Selling at the top of the books generally results in a Sell off on most Crypto markets because there is little absorption to fight against Market Orders. Also you are correct that when looking at Forex volume via CME data, selling orders come in yet it seems to rise.

Welcome to the world of Algo Manipulation by big players which is present in almost all markets except Crypto.

So you know what to do, trade the Order flow on Crypto via Bybit and you should do well after a bit of practice.

And I meant pracisting Delta flips for an hour a day on Demo charts to "get your eye in"
Do it for a month, record every trade you do and see what works and what doesn't.
DO NOT AVERAGE DOWN - just cut for a small loss and look for the next good trade

But I am a forex / Index trader at heart so was determined to find my edge trading Order flow on those markets - its just me.

If the Algo's are fighting the markets by stacking or flipping orders at the top of the books, I better find a way to beat them or join them.
So here is a description on how I traded the S & P 500 index last week with good results and I will show them.

Its 100% different to Crypto

What I do is sort the first 5 rows of buyers and Sellers into a histogram and see whether the Buyers or Sellers are stronger in the books seconds before execution. So I know that for example at 8.10pm at 00 seconds, there may be 20% more sellers close to Auction execution so I know the liquidity is ABOVE PRICE.
Now I look to see whether the Algo's are stacking Asks in the Market Dept while at the same time deleting Bids from Market Dept column. This means they are attacking the liquidity above price so price will run Bullish.

All I need is to see Buying Market Buys coming in and I'm BUYING (also looking at downtick rejection at same time)

I traded just 4 short sessions last week and traded at just 1 contract size trading S & P 500 E Mini.
That means I was trading only $12 a Tick which is smaller than I choose to trade due to trading the silly period just after New Year.
I profited around $5K for a couple hours a day totalling around 8 hours in total.
I was trading with the Algo's and against the Market - all short Scalps of course.

Thats with a $10K total equity in my Futures account - its actually really easy

IF YOU PRACTISE & PRACTISE & PRACTISE - did I tell you to practise.

The upside to trading with 4-8 contracts instead of 1 is mind blowing.

My interpretation is when selling is agressive and prise is going up, the market makers lift up limit orders. To establish new high and induce others to follow up. The result of inducement is not determined.
Is it correct ?

There's probably a few different interpretations which is probably irrelevant - I just know what I see and trade it blindly without overthinking the matter.

Yes great scene which also reminds me of a trading book written by Mike Bellafiore. It's called "one good trade" where the idea is we look for setups defined in our trading manual and just "do our job" by taking one good trade, then look for another one good trade.
It's one good trade not because the outcome results in a profit, but because we followed our rules and were ready to act.

It just struck me that these 2 are both

if you are trading manually trade as you want. If you are using bot DO NOT try to simulate human behavior. There is no need to trade on hour timeframe. On hour your dog can trade, it is not very complicated.

If you are using bot DO NOT try to use high leverage and big lot size. It just make no sense. You can increase amount of assets or speed of execution.
Or, for example, if you are trading with bot do not use static values like static take profits. It again make no sense, because no one cares how much you dream to earn.

And so on
