Hi Ton O,

I’ve seen that Oanda is now offering crypto trading to US clients.
Are there any plans to make that available in the UK?

Yes, that is always on wednesday because of weekend calculation. But it still does not explain the huge differences in swaps which cannot be explained by interest rates or tom-next swap rates. It just doesn't make sense. I will talk to oanda directly, not here, hope to get an answer.

But I have to say other brokers do the same - more or less.

After being with Oanda for a handful of years they informed they couldn't send statements automatically to my employer (I have a requirement where I must send statements to my employer) and I said that's fine and I can manually email statements. They then closed my account and told me quote "we do not need to disclose the reason for account closure" so it's time for a new broker.

Can anyone recommend me a broker that allows custom lot size (or percentage risk sizing) and is available for a US based user? Bonus if I can make sub-accounts, I used to have sub-accounts for various pairs that allowed me to track performance per pair easily.

Custom lot size is the only advantage OANDA offers.
They used to be much better ten years ago, much better.
I don´t know of any other broker that offers that, micro lot is the smallest size I found with the others.
I have also an account with IC Markets, far better, never had a "connection problem".

Would like to highlight that on my android device (both phone and tablet) the quote screen and chart tend to" hang" or freeze. PnL window seems to be working. Noticed this since friday , closing the app and restarting it only temporary solve the problem as it will freeze again.

I apologize for bringing this up here, however the "official" channel of communication on your website is a pain to use.

Please look into it, the progressively unreliable app almost cost me pips.

Yes, it is an OANDA "common practice" to freeze everything, guess to whose disadvantage.
This is what is happening at the moment. I only use them as references for Lot size calculation, otherwise, they have become useless.

Frozen again, many times on the same day, they are just getting worse.
I am so fed up with punching in my password.
The good news is that I will use them only for a short while, and then never again.
These people just don´t want to learn how to treat their customers properly, that is the way to make business.

To add to my misery, all my profiles were deleted, and yes, you guessed it, frozen again.

Thanks Tom for your response, I've had a few days to observe the "problem". I shall try to describe it, when I close the app (typically which means it will still run in the background) and open it again, the rates/quotes would not update. Only when I kill the app fully and then open it again will I get consistently updated rates. And so the cycle continues with me needing to remember to kill the app first and double checking to make sure I am getting the correct rates/quotes before initiating anything and because of that I did not do any trading.

I have restarted my device as well as reinstalled the app which doesn't help.

What version of the app are you using ? I assume FxTrade app that your talking about ?
Also if you have not selected "Hide empty candles" see if this has any effect.

However, the symbols feed is concerning and seems to indicate that your not connecting or have a delayed data feed.
I also assume no connection issues and / or latency delay on your end ?

Just curious but things to check as I am not having this issue personally and also do not see the square feed windows that you display.
My price feeds are more of a line by line item that I scroll up and down the screen to see the prices. Not these buy button looking feeds.
Also what version of android ? And CPU/memory ?

I do suspect it could be an issue with my devices, but both tablet and mobile are having same problem. Unlikely to be due to the points you mentioned either.

For now I plan to hold out till the next app update then I will decide whether to change device or broker. Been using Oanda since 2007.

Tom, I hope Oanda will fix soon the issue of negative swaps charged on live accounts for both long and short opened positions for any forex pairs...

Oanda swaps are huge negative for both long and short opened positions for any forex pairs, again and again ???

What the hell is going on with your swaps??? Other brokers are fine. You have swaps on GBP/CHF up to -14.97% !!!
You have swaps up to -90% on some currencies on long and short side!!
