Not so simple! In a flat, this system can give a lot of losing trades. How to insure against this?
Flat lasts a very long time.

Would you enjoy trading a dead market?

What is the most important principle when using any indicator based system?

Economic news calendar, first thing each day you much scan and see what affects currencies/price,then you have correlation of instruments, trading sessions which adapts to volatility, volume.Experience will get you there, plug all that into Daylight strategy and you learn market structure, you got a livelihood in trading my friend.Don't clutter your chart or mind.....for everything in life its back to basics sometime or the other. Finally, eliminate noise, stick to good threads like this one,you have an amazing educator here.

We do not choose a symbol with the potential to move, we pick one that has just started to move in the direction of our directional bias....with momentum.

See Post 471.
You cannot avoid losers ! Hind sight will tell you where the Range was. A more useful method is to spot the signs going forward which may involve two losing trades before you can act. IMHO of course.

Look Left - what was price doing? It might indicate what will continue forward. Again it might not , but at least you have some idea.

Just remember that Laura posted results that showed several losers in a row. Losers will happen - it's how you manage them that counts - hence Lauras Roadmap or daylight approaches. Advice worth repeating is to know where you are wrong before you get in.

If you read Laura's journal you will find a section on management, plus the thread is dotted with discussion on management.

https://www.forexfactory.com/thread/...just-a-journal?

Note:

"Loosing" =
verb
gerund or present participle: loosing

  1. 1.
    set free; release.
    "the hounds have been loosed"
    Similar:
free, set free, unloose, turn loose, set loose, untie, unchain, unfasten
    2.

    1. fire (a bullet, arrow, etc.).
"he loosed off a shot at the vehicle"
    2. Similar:
fire, discharge, shoot, eject, let go, let fly with.

Whereas "LOSING =
fail to win (a game or contest).
"England lost the first Test match"
Similar:
be defeated, be beaten, suffer defeat, be the loser, be conquered, be vanquished, fail ( "it was a losing trade)

  1. earn less (money) than one is spending or has spent.
"the paper is losing £1.5 million a month"

Compared with this indicator, gives exact same entry plus additional multiple signals for slowpokes.

What do you think of it?

No squiggly lines which require mathematical manipulation of the Price data
