Hi,

It's actually a 100 period Smoothed Moving Average. I'm playing around with various options to see if it benefits us to have an overriding bias. But I think there is an even better option potentially - more later.

hey guys, just a question and I know it maybe personal preference, but are there 3 pairs that adhere to this type of style of trading or is it really what pairs youre most familiar with, i tend to stick with XAUUSD and 2 other currencies

In general, I'd say choose currency pairs with decent ADR. The more volatility the better for this strategy.

NAS Cash 5min short scalp to the 200EMA...in line with the 1hr %R MAs. Entry using Turnip's %R 50 cross and a close below the channel MA.

Some Statistics

Thought I'd run a quick check on my recent forex trades using Daylight.

88 trades, 83 winners, 5 losers. Profit Factor of 10.42.

Not a bad start for this 'old' strategy!
