Welcome to Global Prime! I'm Jeremy, one of the co-founders of https://www.globalprime.com/ and I've been a Forex Factory member for 10 years now. If you are lucky enough to already be trading with us then you'll know what we are about. We've been in the game for almost ten years and have some of the happiest clients out of any broker worldwide. Check out our Forex Peace Army reviews (4.7 out of 5 stars from over 320 reviews) here: https://bit.ly/31UwOkg I recommend watching this interview with Etienne & I - we go through how...

Hi Jeremy,
I have to say I am disappointed: Not with your company but with my expectations and lack of technical knowledge.
My desktop Pc is a relatively new iMac and I have been trying out trading Micro index Futures via AMP Futures and TradeStation. Both of which allow one to link Tradingview charts with the brokers ( AMP or Tradestation).
After reading your site I got the idea that I could use Tradingview ( with Global prime as broker ) and trade via my iMac. But when I spoke to a representative -Mikey Herman, it seems I have to use trader evolution on a Windows platform plus Tradingview on the same Windows platform. Albeit Tradingview (HTML) will run on Apple , it seems TE doesn't?
I am not a fan of MT4 or of using applications to convert part of my Mac to a Windows friendly patch. However, being curious, I tried to load MT4 on my iMac and it failed. I then saw I had to workaround to fix that, so I left it. WEB MT4 doesn't seem to allow you to load outside indicators ( Roadmap on ff) for example.
Big disappointment as I was very interested in your company.

Heya

Apologies if we got the wires crossed but you can definitely trade using your browser on TradingView without using TraderEvolution at all. Your TV/TE account logins are the same and you can create a new TV/TE account from inside your client portal at https://secure.globalprime.com/

Follow the instructions on this video to login with your TV/TE account details in TradingView.

Please let me know how you go!

Cheers,
Jeremy

I spoke to one of your guys on chat, about my APPLE iMac not talking to the TE app, who got me to download TE to my android phone. He also sorted out my disaster of a set up re -my losing passwords and getting more confused etc. With a new password from chat I logged onto the TE app on my android mobile and then did same, on my Apple iMac, to TView using same log in as that used for TE. RESULT: Charts and data feed now working
I now find that if I turn off my android mobile the TradeView chart/Global prime data Feed package still works on TradeView - on my Apple iMac.

So I think I am a lot happier than yesterday

Hi, Jeremy.

As someone who has signed up to be a funded trader at a prop firm using Global Prime as a broker, I have a question:
What are the advantages (if any) to us traders when a prop firm uses an independent broker like yours vs when they use their "own server?"

Can you unpack the possible pros and cons for the trader in the latter business model?

Thanks!

Btw, @Jemook, are we allowed to view our trade receipts? If so, how? I also noticed commission/swap charges on my evaluation account.

Hey Doji,

Thanks for your question.

Prop firms usually use demo accounts exclusively or similarly, whitelabel “live” servers which never reach the real market, or fund via very under-capitalized b-book broker accounts.

Prop firms rely on losing clients the way b-books rely on losing clients: if they get “unlucky” with profitable clients joining, a demo based b-book, or whitelabel prop firm can come to a halt. The profits earned from losing evaluations may not (and did not, in recent examples) suffice to cover the profits earned by winning clients.

A broker sending all trades to the market, would not accept the exposure and risk which many prop firms require, offering 1:200+ at high account equity levels. Most prop firms-in our experience-and when taking evaluations into account, have been and would be undercapitalized, unless they have large financial backing. Which has not proven to be typical, if it exists at all. We can’t comment on the well established firms, which now have a marketable model, and scale, for investors.

All prop companies using Global Prime are confirmed to be using an A-book only style of trading. We will not issue demo credentials to any prop firm, or live accounts, if they do not fulfil our strict standards.

  1. No profits can be earned from client losses for any trade or account.
  2. The prop firm does not receive any revenue share for losses.
  3. The prop firm does not run an a-book/b-book (hybrid) model for their accounts.
  4. All trades sent to Global Prime reach the real market
  5. Qualified accounts are all live server environments; not fake Live servers.
  6. All accounts are funded with real money and satisfy margin requirements.
  7. All accounts are capitalized to Global Prime’s stringent standards.

Global Prime will not continue any relationship if these rules are breached and will not enable a prop firm to offer it’s demo or live platform to clients. We will close any outstanding live and demo accounts held by the prop firm and vigilantly uphold our standards and integrity.

Hope that helps answer your question!

Trade receipts would be available to the account holder so Lux could request them from us. Word on the street is that one of the firms may be integrating the trade receipts into their client portal which is pretty cool.

As for commission/swaps they would be the same as what you would expect to see on one of their funded accounts.

Cheers,
Jeremy

Impressed so far. Able to scalp indicies and shares ( new experience for me - shares that is) Having traded Futures I am impressed with speed of execurtion thus enabling me to scalp on one minute time frame. Still finding my way around CFD's but happy so far. Will record more in due course.
Chat and Discord help is excellent and, more important, quick.

Mr T, some questions if I may on your trading setup. I'm not sure if I understand well enough to ask the right questions, my only experience is with MT4!

You use Tradingview (TV) for your charting and trades, with Global Prime (GP) as the broker.

Do GP provide the data to your TV account? Asking because my free TV account has a data feed without me selecting/using a broker.
Perhaps I should have first asked if you use a free or paid account with TV?
As you are trading on a web site (browser) on your Desktop PC, does this mean your orders (TP, SL) stay live when the PC is turned off?
Could you then login with another device to monitor the trades?

Thanks.
Good Trading

I am just hobby trader so no big insights I fear.
GP provides the data -they are linked via the TV site from which you choose a broker. As far as I am aware data is free -the TV package is the free one albeit you get Ads but they are easy enough to dismiss when the pop up. My desk top is an Apple iMac ( that's why I use TV because it is HTML thus works across any machine). I do not know if my device retains orders when turned off since I never have an open order overnight. I scalp ( one minute timescale) and ensure all trades are closed out when I log off. I have logged in with my Chromebook to look at charts on TV or look at Global view Discord channel. I could also trade via TV and GP if needed. Trader Evolution is my way in. Execution seems fast -faster than some I have checked. And I trade micro Futures via TradeStation where execution is quick but you have the hastle of wiring funds etc which is why I am looking at CFD's and GP seems better than many and respond to questions quickly.
But check what I write by looking at their Discord site - lots of info and help there.
So far, slippage does not seem to be a problem.
Bear in mind I am new to CFD's but so far GP seem okay for fast execution and data feed. And I am still evaluating my experiences.
Trader Evolution works across most devices to my knowledge and experience.
To any experienced users here -feel free to chip in if I have not made things clear.

Just released a fresh post on Medium:

How to Get Close to Your Clients and Hire Them

https://globalprime.medium.com/how-t...m-51887d94b8af

I go through the hiring evolution at Global Prime and how hiring clients as staff can be a great move for a transparent business.

If you run a business there's some cool tips in there which may benefit you.

If you are a client of Global Prime and looking to join the team it walks through our hiring process and how you could potentially land a gig.

Cheers,
Jeremy

Hi Jeremy, as shown is a statistic found online showing top forex brokers daily trading volume (probably for 2019/2020). While I'm not certain about the accuracy of the figures, are you able to share with us Global Prime's daily trading volume in 2020? I believe many will be interested as well.

when i see instaforex in the same ranking with saxo or icmarkets my first thought is that this is from some IB websites hidden under 'compare forex broker' site... not trustworthy.

For offshore clients our standard leverage is 1:100 and up to 1:200 after assessment and approval. Australian clients under ASIC fall under the leverage restrictions.
