I wonder if someone would be kind enough to add some code to limit the trade size that ikarus/icarus can trade.
I would like to have trades increase till maybe 0.2 and then all further trades that are placed are no larger than 0.2
and also be able to change the limit for each pair being traded, so mql4 would be preferred over ex4.

I know how Martingale style works and limiting trade size is not normal but for me it would give peace of mind
when I am unable to monitor the charts, for instance when asleep "zzzz".

All coders have done a terrific job! and the coding has been very complex.
I wish to use icarus but just want this extra safe guard written in the mql4 code.

As you mentioned, a classic way of hedging is not suitable for a grid trading EA. I think your logic dealing with hedging could be a good approach.
Hedging must has its purpose. Eventually, the hedged pairs have to be nicely released and turning loss to be profit. To hedge is simple, however, to release hedged pair nicely is sophistic. We have to find a right timing to release the hedged pair, not too early and not too late.
Is there some one can? order to make some ea, which includes time-based order closing function? this is posible?

use this for mql5, posTime is your time to close:

PositionSelectByTicket(ticket);

Hi to all, updated EA adding a function to calculate magic number in automatic, so you can simple attach the EA on a pair. The magic n. calculated is displayed on the screen.

this guy is using a grid strategy very similar with Ikarus grid strategy , and you can see this just seeing his open orders and history , however this another strategy uses martingale and i dont know how he turned 500 k in more than 5M in just 3 years , i dont know if is possible to do reverse engineering of his strategy , but a Ea of this in strategy in Gold or gbpjpy could be interesting
