Hi pipmaster77,

After reviewing TopStep's website it appears they do offer a pathway to live. At the moment I'm focused on getting as many payouts as I can & if the pathways leads to live mode, then all the better. Will update when I find out for sure.

During that time, almost all the people who’ve ever passed a Combine have gone onto a genuine, live, funded CME account.

Well, here is the ironic thing, far moe folks here value my real world, real use opinion vs. you and your twin Quickly.

Can you also pinpoint what I have been wrong on? I'm kind of curious.
Perhaps a pathway to live could be seen as a double-edged sword, especially if the criteria are not clearly defined (or in some cases, a total mystery).

On the one hand, having a proven pathway to live may help with regulation and the potential, long-term survivability of a firm. On the other hand, if the thresholds are unknown (or too low) and the terms are not favorable etc., then the supposed pathway may simply serve as a very one-sided boot for firms that are less-than-honest about what they really want, essentially giving them a free pass to operate without integrity.

I suspect that firms will need to have clearly-defined terms for going live. This may be difficult (and undesirable for some firms) to implement and/or disclose, but will likely be necessary from a regulatory standpoint. Apex has yet to do that, unfortunately. Certainly, it would be beneficial for traders to know the size of the box that they are playing in, and traders and regulators alike will be able to see which firms are actually serious about helping traders, which should help to weed out the lower-level firms.

My hope is that there will be requirements for firms to follow that are reasonable; favorable for traders and not overly restrictive to the point that the opportunity gets flushed down the toilet. Disclosure is essential.

-Better to not get suckered into playing their game, pip. Karl and Quickly probably have a lot to offer, but they often choose to present their thoughts in provocative ways. I really do not see the point of it.
The cheapest CFD prop firm is Quant Tekel actually, and they seem to do payouts even they have a current migration and everything is bit slowlier currently. Their score is 7.7 which is like MyForexFunds had in the old days. And we know MFF was a solid firm until the CFTC started to threaten them. So will see if QT can do more payouts.
I wanted to say the offer is really cheap but it is not impossible cheap. It is actually the only offer which makes sense to me from a financial standpoint after taxes compared to a personal account. Before taxes you get around 4.5 times more than trading and compounding on a personal account, after tax still 3.5 times more. So if they do payout me and it seems they have full payout proofs with traders that had $100k cumulated payouts from them so far, then I would stay and buy more here.
Quant Tekel allows also traders from USA. They are just now integrating with DX Trader and then cTrader to onboard all of them. For me best value among all prop firms, including the futures prop arena too. Of course it is only CFDs traded but the value of the offer based on fee and static drawdown with balance based daily drawdown is by far the best what the industry actually has to offer. It also does not make sense to look elsewhere as the offer is on the limit with the 50% current promo code, actually running for months now. So you can expect that kind of discounts in the future too. And the best is, there are not too many complaints currently. So if any prop firm comes with a cheaper offer I would not trust it, as in the old days no solid prop firm was cheaper than MyForexFunds and Quant Tekel formerly Ascendx is on par with them regarding pricing and the value. If the migration is completed until end of November you should have them on your watchlist at least. Payouts are regularly done and posted in Discord too. Many do also post that they got their payouts. Me I can confirm that I got $20000 or twenty thousand US Dollars in payouts from them so far. And it went very smooth and also fast. And I invested at that time only $600 for a challenge fee I got refunded later. So very good experience from my side too.
I do not want to promote any prop firm. Not Quant Tekel or TopStep or TakeProfitTrader. I am just sharing my analysis, experiences and thoughts about them. That is all.

Sorry I lost you here, you mean Apex has ABSOLUTELY NO PAYOUT CAPS from Day1. The first 4 payouts are limited to $2K for a 50k account.

Lets apply maths. If you make 10K in Topstep and 10K in take profit trader. You pay 2K to profit trader. How many challenges or PA fees can it pays...Same day withdrawal doesn't add any value if you are profitable and prop firm pays money which top step does. 20% commission is a lot especially considering trailing drawdown and trailing drawdown. Also if you make 5K they will put you on live and you have to again trail....

They have the worst rules on funded accounts. No vps, no EA's, no news trading, min holding time 2 minutes, max 3 trades per symbol etc. Rules are being changed on fly constantly. People have been waiting for their funded accounts for weeks. No reason to trade with them as there are much better options available. They give 50% discounts in order to collect as much funds they can before their rug pull.

Be careful with this rule if you go with them. It's easy to make a mistake and 2 mistakes (soft breach) = hard breach.
