I appreciate the comments and questions on the website.

A new lesson in the trading course has been posted. The first lesson was updated because it seemed a bit confusing. I hope it reads easier and makes more sense.

I appreciate everyone's patience with the mistakes and oddities that occur. Your corrections are welcome.

A clarification on differences between WRB and WRB gap. WRB = Wide Range Bar. A WRB is one that is significantly larger than the previous 3 bars. WRB Gap = Same as WRB but there is a gap between the high/low of the bar previous to the WRB and the high/low of the bar after the WR. WRB Gaps are more significant and are often the origins of supply/demand.

I've been reading and re-reading your thread, but I'm still confused on what the WRB Gap exactly is, I understand what the Wide Range Bar is, it's the Gap bit I don't comprehend. I'd be greatful if you could elaborate more.

Look at post #1 in this thread. There is wide range bullish bar depicted in the middle. To its left and at its low, there is the high of the preceding bar. To its right and at its high, there is the low of the following bar. The "gap" is the space between the high of the preceding bar and the low of the following bar. Even though there is a wide range bar in post #1, the situation may have been different. For example, the previous bar's high may have been somewhere in the middle of the wide range bar and the following bar's low, likewise may have been in the middle of the wide range bar. In that case, whilst there may be a wide range bar, it isn't a wide range "gap" bar because the previous and following bar(s) are not "respecting" the range by enforcing a gap (roughly commensurate with the size range) between their high and low (in the case of the bullish example).

Thank you Geester, the penny's just dropped. I've been reading charts for years, you'd think I'd be able to spot it by now lol
