And here goes virtual with regular SL and TP. Risk reward 1:1 (SL 30 pips, TP 30 pips). 100% sell deals profitable and 71% buy deals profitable - gbpusd. From 9500 deals now filtered out the best of the best deals - 59. Super safe entries.

What are the logic behind this... Price moved strongly in 1 way... our virtual averaging opened level after level... a strong movement. No meaningful retraces. And then that movement must (and has) lost momentum. Markets can't move very long in 1 direction without quite good retraces. So we wait with patience those moments when a trend starts to calm down... So we enter.... if SL hit we enter again. Because we know from 11 years backtest history that price MUST retrace... and it did so 11 years. And will do so further.

Not many entries... on average 5 entries per year. need to optimize find setups for various symbols and they can be run on 1 account because of so few deals.

Each setup makes let's say 10-15% yearly. Find 10 setups and will get about 50 deals per year and about 100-150% yearly profits - in the longterm. Super safe. And scalable.

Will now optimize and prepare the account to run for several months to get stats on how it will be with real money...

Will have 2 accounts - both with virtual. On 1 virtual with SL/TP (10-15 setups/symbols) on 2nd virtual with averaging (10 setups/symbols).

i'had tried my set file with 3.000€ account since 2013 and no wipe .... lot size was 0.1

i executed from 2010 with 10000 usd account. and it failes the same year.

which timeframe you used? M5?

10 pips without virtual trading is too small step - it gives huge deal count and easy can go till more than 12 loses series.. better to start with 20 pips

Hi folks good evening from italy..i took a look at the trhead and strategy..i have seen some similar aproach on nemeth video on you tube and i didn t understand why he doesn t have receved so mutch credit..by the way i have a question ..seeing that i think that the all market are divided in lateral and trendy ( and they are simultaniously both as in metronomo experiment on you tube) is it possible go buy in one candle double the size if the trade goes against th original bet without close anything as a recovery zone but with the exption tha the recovery zone is fluid ..i mean we open the trades in every candle we let open the other and we udjust the position till the market decide one direction and we flip every position accord to the direction of the market and in the end we close all when in profit or break even.isvit enough clear as explication?doing that we are covered in every condition lateral and trendy..if is lateral we close all at break even if is trendy with a big gamma oviously we close all in profit

Found some good setups for virtual trading "basket". Max drawdown for all "basket" was 19 usd. Profit in 11 years: 1410 usd. So recovery factor ir 71. It can operate with 100 usd capital.

7 averaging deals already opened. There was a gap in weekends and EA bravely went into it with already some opened deals. Let's see...

From 4 years real ticks history - here averaging volumes:

So for now its quite normal... 0.24 lots is quite common situation...56 times in 4 years.

done. GBPUSD retraced back and averaging went out from 7 losing serie with +1% to account. max dd was about 3.5%.

EA works as expected. While GBPUSD was in drawdown.. all the rest accounts were usable for an emergency if needed to add capital to survive huge dd for GBPUSD.

I do the same but in a complete different way...I look for the top and the down for last 10 years, devided
in 2 and down the middle I only buy, above I only sell...but,and thats important...I don't multiply...I just see it
as ONE deal. I know my risk and I only trade the main pairs...my DD can be big but its much safer as what I see here

problem with averaging/martingale/grid is greed. If have deep pockets and aim for just 30-40% yearly it can work quite long as we can see from EAs backtesting. Yes shit could happen therefore diversify - therefore multiple setups/accounts needed.

But now we have virtual trading in EA and it is with fixed TP/SL - still using averaging but in virtual mode - as a signal.
All goes fine so far.

Linked all accounts related to this thread to myfxbook.

Will create additional accounts with various setup combinations.

Will implement virtual trading logic in the 1st EA version too (using hedge).
Let me share my results/thought here.

1. Every tick testing can be made if the history quality is 100% only. If less the results vary.
2. Static TP and SL is useless. They must be dynamic because market/price movements are not static. 100p for usdjpy is too big but for gbpusd is nothing. Also lot size must be dynamic too. Because 1 lot size for eurusd is ok, but for gbpuse it must be 0.7 to have the same.
3. Grid is a way to wipe out just a matter of time. Because it always expands and inside there is always a loss.
4. Averaging is better than grid, but you need to reduce TP. Let's say it is just a modification of SL. If use it as a system it is just a matter of time when you will stuck.
5. You have to manage daily open wide spreads. They can wipe you out (check 2 days ago -450p gap on gbpusd).
6. Keep in mind that brokers have limits for max lot size and max lots. For example it is 100 lot and 100 lots. So if you reach the limit there will be no room anymore.
