I don't understand the logic? Why does it go up when its numbers are bad? Because its called a Euro?
Ignored
If it were that simple, bad numbers down, good numbers up, then there wouldn't be money in this forex market. Forex is a very stranage beast, and it doesn't follow particular patterns. It's a combination of social, political, psychological, emotional, economical, technical, (and many others) factors. Not a single indicator works well or else this forum wouldn't exist.

I have found many times that market has already priced in something bad, so after it gets the news, it will go up. Sell the rumor, buy the news. A lot of people get burned that way.

yes.you may be correct in a way..but bare in mind when it comes to scalp trading.. it's totally different from the other trading methods.it comes with greater risk and less reward. and

1.what is your risk capital ?
2.what is your lot size ?
3.how much can you risk per trade ?

if you want scalp , my suggestion is a to have minimum of a 100,000,000.00 account.

Seems price is looking for this weekly LTL. But its mooving in an uptrend channel on 1hr/30min tf. So i wont consider taking ANY shorts untill this ascending 1hr/30min channel is broken, untill then simple inchannel trading can be applied if it goes all the way up to the UTL of the descending 4hr channel for a nice sell or break. Im not taking any positions yet. TWT

I think I said this at the end of last week, that USD was setting up for a bearish run. UJ went from 103.5 or so, to 108, and USD gained on other pairs as well. Well, lately, there have been bullish USD runs and bearish USD runs, and they haven't lasted more than 2 weeks 'lately'. So yes, I think at least this week will be bearish USD.

Actually the Euro is a popular currency in Europe. If you lived in London, and wanted to go to Italy, you'd be exchanging Pounds for Euros. The reason the Euro has 'legs' is because there is a demand for it in Europe. If Germany was the only country that used Euros, then the Euro would not be as popular. The US economy is still better than the German economy, (but the US id not better then the entire European economy, but is up for debate), it's just we don't have the demand for the USD. Canadians don't care to visit here, and those from Mexico have a tougher time getting to US.

fundamental is more complex than the technical,..
just take a look at index currency, to see the currency strength.
and compare each other into one pair that we trade.
hope it help.

Who owns the dollar? China? I'm obviously not saying that one country owns one currency. If Germany dropped Euro, Euro would die.

Not sure about that. Australian has 4 million people or so? and has been gaining on the dollar for 7 years. There are many countries that use the euro, and if Germany dropped the euro, nobody would give a '&%*&" look what happened to their old currency, it lost like 10,000% of it's value. Just look at the Swiss Franc, it's been just as successful as the Euro.
