The [AUD/NZD] started the Asian session around the 1.2690 level rising to the day's high of 1.2740 after the release of Aust retail sales and building approvals data. However, it was downhill all the way from there as the pair eventually reached an o/n low of 1.2600 on the back of a weaker Aud/Usd. The pair has held steady around the 1.2600/10 level despite the release of better than expected NZ employment data coming in at +0.9% q/q(vs f/c of -0.7%). Despite all the hiccups along the way, we believe the pair's uptrend remains intact and buying at 1.2530 along with bid by a UK Clearer is preferred. Offers at 1.2680 by a local likely to cap the upside this session.

Are you guys watching? As soon as Sidney opened EU went down 20 pips. Hey, better than that morose market we had today. I guess we're going to test yesterday's lows.

Official Bank Rate , Minimum Bid Rate , ECB Press Conference,Unemployment Claims , Prelim Nonfarm Productivity q/q, Prelim Unit Labor Costs q/q.

Don’t know how much of the impact, but I believe these may control the volume of price movement .

Tell that to the AIG employees. The energy policies of BUSH kept Texas afloat...in due time Texas will be back to the bust days of yore.

The [EUR/DLR] dips to 1.2815 vs the late NY dip of 1.2815 and the overnight low of 1.2813. Biddish condition here remain unchanged, but rebounds are getting lower, and an eventual test cannot be ruled out

Signs emerge that the worst may be over, with the [BALTIC DRY INDEX], a measure of shipping costs for commodities, surging by 168 points, or 15%, to 1,316 points in London; its largest rise since at least 1985. With the index chalking up its 12th straight increase in a row, the gauge's 70% gain in 2009 is seen its best start to the year since at least 1986. The index rose to a record 11,793 points on May the 20th before sent crashing to as low as 663 points on Dec the 5th, the lowest since 1986.

The [GBP/AUD] started the Asian session around the 2.2200 before falling to the day's low of 2.2110 just after the release of Aust retial sales and building approvals data which came in mixed. The pair then stayed in a 2.2125-2.2255 range for the remainder of the session until the release of better than f/c UK CIPS svcs coming in at 42.5(vs f/c of 40.3)which saw the pair reaching an initial intraday high of 2.2400. An increse in demand for the Gbp/Usd saw another spike in the GBP/AUD to an o/n high of 2.2600 ahead of resistance at 2.2620. The pair has since retreated back to current lvl of 2.2500 ahead of the BOE decision later tonight where a 50 bps cut is expected which may be positive for the pair as mkt players see UK interest nearing a bottom. We therefore prefer to buy dips towards 2.2350 along with buying orders from a European for a 2.2800/2.3000 objective. Offers at 2.2620 will cap the upside this session.

The [AUD/YEN] in Ldn morning time yesterday collapsed from 58.32 to 56.59 in only about an hour. A major Japanese security house is noted having called many banks and hitting A$50-100 million each in not-full basis. Banks are reported mostly having been killed by the unfriendly actions. The pair hit second low at 56.55, then reversed its losses, hit the NY high at 58.43 before easing back to the current 57.30-20 level.
