Well, seems that we consolidate before NY opens. (doh, hope not)

Dow probably breaks under 10k and by NY close this pair is somewhere on the floor finding bottle caps.

why do you think the worlds largest consumer needs to buy things from other places when they can make it themselves? Its a big myth, we did it before wallmart built china and we can do it again. u.s. spends trillions so a select few can make billions. Its not a good trade off for the u.s. taxpayer. its not a good trade off for the u.s. you don't remain strong by giving it away..what we gave away made china stronger and put further demands on commodities. Weakening the u.s. further with 147 oil ect. the last 20 years and 2008 is a product of that. Europe is following the same footsteps u.s. did 20 years after. Germany has lost its exporting title to Asia. What do you think happens next. you need one of 3 things for a strong currency.. commodities or banking or manufacturing.. Europe is lacking in commodities.. Europe banking is weak... even weaker then 2008.. each of the 16 countries in ezu may have to take them over. and once again Germany has lost market share. German wages cant compete with Asian wages...

aging populations with high social cost unions don't last long. u.s. has commodities. is gaining manufacturing and better banking. the euro should of never been at 1.6 are even higher then the aud.. eu was ridden up on the coattails of commodities. it never should of been higher then a commodity pair like the aud dollar.

Where is this pair going from here? Short or long? Hindsight is always nice. I shouldn't have sold my shorts yesterday. The last time it reached this low, it bumped up 300 pips to my dismay. What's people's opinions?

My business partner is in China now looking for gear to be manufactured. 200-300% margin based on our competitions prices. Why bother to get it made in the EU when the Chinese can do it for peanuts. You can see why the US want the yuan to appreciate.

But being in euroland myself the devaluation of the euro has just made Chinese shit 15% more expensive just this year. That is less margin for us now. If the yuan appreciates another 20% against the USD as the US wants then that is 35% less margin on buying prices.

There is little point trying to compete with the Chinese when they rig their currency. Cannot beat them, then join them.

What I mean is we buy from the factories and we sell retail. That is how we get the margin, of course we have very large overhead so this is margin before costs. After will be a lot less.

We factored in a 26% increase in yuan appreciation in the next 12 months but as things are taking a bit of dive in the last mont I agree that the Chinese will not move it at all now.

Whole world bombarded with Chinese Junk.. How you can even

compare something made in China to made in France or Germany or made in USA.

Chinese crap should be selling on flea Markets only for 1/10 of the price.

I don't want my Mercedes to be made in freaking China, no way

and I don't like Chinese food as well..
