No rebates from IB. They fix their spread so it's almost always .5pips (eurusd) and $5.00/roundtrip/lot so it's almost a fixed $10 per lot for the round trip for market or limit orders. They have their own issues, but if MB doesn't offer something significant, why should we stay?

All large brokers seem to offer something significant. MB Trading offered $4.00 rebates on limit orders (now they don't) and the worst customer service in the industry. IB offers the cheapest prices, most professional accounts, almost as horrible as MB customer service,...
Just about everyone of my orders is market in, Limit out, so with MB, I pay $2.00 roundtrip, and I get taken out before the bid/ask crosses most of the time. Way cheaper than IB for me. I guess if you mostly ran market orders, it's a conversation, but I used IB for a while. The platform sucks and executions came and went. And there is no way that IB's customer service is better than MB's. I always get responses from MB via Chat or phone. You can't even talk to anyone at IB (at least, you couldn't when I used them).
Everyone approaches the market with a different style..

You pay $2.00 not including the sporadic spread on MB. It averages .8pips during the best market hours ( I've have a scanner watching every tick for the past year ) So you're not paying any less than you would with IB. Regardless, the trade costs are pretty close.

IB's platform is a complete dog.. but I link Multicharts to both brokers so that doesn't matter much to me.

IB offers something significant (all-in-one account for hedging and simplicity). MB doesn't offer anything significant anymore..

It would be great if they at least would offer the Free EXN to their native platform!! ... which was my initial reason for posting.

Hi MBT, It happens again from 5 GMT.

If people can't verify their EAs on the demo platform, how could you expect them to invest hard-earned real money with confidence???
If you can't tell, just wait. The market will.

I had the same problem with demo accounts...however when I finally switched to life mt4 and dtopro, service became quite good from a 1-10 I’ll give it an 8....seems to be acceptable now...time will tell

Yeah, no dah, should a broker give a damn about demo users or live users that don't trade (basically the same).

what are you using as an alternative?
CTS, an alternative to retail fx is the fx futures market. Brokers conduct business in an identical manner in the fx futures. Nothing is perfect - (mf global) but definitely less of a headache than dealing with these retail fx brokers and bucket shops. I don't think MB is a bucket shop - but my experience has been less than ideal. They definitely have a long way to go with platform and related technology. In all fairness the same can be said for the rest of retail fx.
Is MB still clearing through PNSN, a penny stock?

if i was trading future's i would be a little worry because MB does clear it trades thru penson, there forex business is there own.

Dude. Get some real info.

MB Trading cleared through PNSN, now it clears through APEX. Read up on that and you will find that they are a very well funded organization. Meanwhile, MB Trading's Forex operation (used to be under the name MB Trading Futures, but now also runs under the DBA MB Trading Forex) NEVER cleared through Penson. That's why you can't have one account for stocks, futures, and forex with MBT.
