the idea that the SM goes short to hit the DM longs, and as those DM gets hit the SM complete the circle by closing there short move with the long orders ( sucking up the DM sell).

the big question remain though: not all SM is making money, in fact most banks nowadays keep their trading desks more for prestige than profit.
and as far as algoes go, where is it said that a SM algo cant profit from another SM algo pattern?
that is where this whole thing gets tricky.

and sometimes "too smart" is not smart enough, or huge capital isnt huge enough...google LTCM story. or Barings Bank/Nick Leeson, or Soros vs BOE....etc.

if the perception is a stronger support area, isnt the common DM move is to short there, and place stop above...the more it was tested, the more likely a growing number/size SLs...
vs.
the SM kind a become obliged to break/fakeout and take those SLs at least on the short term, before returning to range to take out the breakout traders too?

would that make the entry ideal? idk. but as said, a near 2 hours later, when posted, it was OK knowing current price then.

If it went up, he would have said it hit his TP, just like FF would.
Of course FF doesn't advocate using stoplosses. Just add more positions to losers.
So you only get the bare minimum, no analysis as usual, no reasons except DM stops were there. See FF's magic charts.
