I got he best results from the new "scalping" with

"s_GridSizePips=10" (instead of s_GridSizePips=0)
and
"s_OrderMultiplier=1.5" (instead of s_OrderMultiplier=2.0)

Cheers

Pitt Bull
ps max. size Lots? :-)

Note this EA needs tick data. Back test results are not real. You should demo it at real market environment for at least 4 weeks to get more realistic results.
thanks,

Hi Bauta. Thanks again for your great job.
If you give me permission, I have an idea for close cycles on trend direction. Regards.. ( this trade method from your first expert , Expanding Grid.)

Hello Bauta,
There is historic tick-data available through Tickstory (www.tickstory.com) which works surprisingly well i must say.
doing this back-testing i notice that i get consistently better results when 's_WeightDirection' is 'false', and leaving all the other settings the same.
That is a bit counter intuitive... can you explain?

I'd say use historic tick-data from sources like Tickstory and run tests for a year or so of representative situations you would want the EA to handle well and see how profit fluctuates under those circumstances. Circumstances like sudden spikes that gradually return to original price (which this handles well), spikes that continue in the direction of the spike, trending with corrections, trending with almost no corrections, small spikes, large spikes, etcetera. If it can handle all of these then you'll sleep well and if not then expect your account to go down at least partially if not drastically. The idea is to be prepared and recognize when the market is behaving in a manner consistent with the what the EA was designed for and when it is behaving contrary in order to shut it down or use more conservative settings. Using the optimization features of the Strategy Tester might also help in these assessments.

Hey Bauta, you may have thought of this already but have you tried increasing the steps between orders when price is trending?
So for example you take a long and price falls, next order is 10 pips away. Price still falls, move next order to 12 or 13 pips away instead of 10. Then 16 or 18 pips away for the next order?

Dangerous? We're nowhere near 'danger' levels...!
This is a 5 year backtest for USDCHF - it is a indeed tricky pair - largest position was 40Lots - but it did come out on top. (see chart for settings)
Still think there is opportunity to automate the hedging on news as per my previous emails. That should do away with most of the DD.
Really hope Bauta can do that some day...
