DislikedThe Ladder is one of the dumbest EA's I've ever tested. It must have been created by a broker to sucker in newbies such as myself (3 yrs young). Don't get excited by the quantity of trades. There is no quality or substance to this EA unless u are a pro coder. Otherwise leave it alone.Ignored
Thank you for sharing your experience with Ladder EA.
I like your use of words "dumbest EA", for 2 reasons:
- You called it an EA not a System. Because it is actually not a system. It is a trade/position management EA. It will help you create multiple grid orders and trails the stop for you. That's it. Entry decision is yours.
- It is dumb. It will do what it was designed for, because it is only a tool. Just like a knife, you can use it to peel an apple or cut your hand.
These are few lines I copied from several posts I wrote about the Ladder EA.
- post 97 : Its worth to note that two of the robots discussed so far, namely Ladder, and CLS_LWR do not represent complete systems. They are rather Methods of :Position Management in Ladder using price range , Trade Management in CLS_LWR using time range. Those robots do not have a reliable entry/exit methods and will not be used as stand-alone robots. But their position and trade management methods can be used as options for other robots.
- post 937 . The best use of the ladder system would be at anticipated tops or bottoms after price retraces. Where risk will be at the minimum and rewards can be huge. OR at main support/resistance areas where a pull back, and main trend continuation is anticipated.
Again thanks for sharing your experience with us here,
