Hendrick,
First of all congrats on being in 1st Place in the contest. All of us appreciate your hard work. The preliminary posts of forward testing are very promising and I am beginning my forward testing today.
I have been looking through the code casually...believe me I am no programmer... and noticed that the preferred settings for the USDGBP OSMA Fast=23 and the OSMASlow=17. Is this correct or should they be reversed?
One other thing which would help us less intelligent people help you in testing your EA is to explain in greater detail in your manual exactly how the EA works. A good start to this explanation would be your contest interview where you explain the principle on which Phoenix is based. A more detailed explanation in layman's terms outlining the envelope and how the SMA's and OSMA's and how the settings interact with them to determine entry and exit points, etc. would help solidify our understanding. In addition, indicators of the envelope, MA's and divergence, showing these points of entry/exit would provide a graphical picture to the method. You know what they say...a picture is worth a thousand words...
Again, let me say thanks for this great opportunity to allow me to test your very promising EA.
