Disliked{quote} Expanding triangle example: {image} where price makes LL followed by HH, followed by LL, followed by HH ... and so on. Trend strategies get chopped into these triangles. pravin EA tries to be net-long or net-short following the trend, and so it suffers in such triangles. //--- EDIT : {quote} pretty cold down there ... hahaIgnored

Disliked{quote} @abokwalk -- thanks very much for the screen shot and explanation. I now see what you mean by "expanding triangle". However, consider the settings "Pip_Distance = 10" and "TakeProfit_Pips = 40" -- i.e. new positions (with multiple lot sizes) are opened every delta 10 pips and all positions are closed at net 40 pips. Within the expanding triangle (in your screen shot) there are bullish and bearish stretches that greatly exceed these relatively small pip values -- hence, many cycles would start and complete within the H1 expanding triangle....Ignored
Disliked{quote} @joyny -- I don't know about MT5. However, I'm no longer interested in tick back testing -- it just takes too long. Though MT4 is unreliable, I will use its optimization / calibration feature to get a *feeling* for what settings to use for different pairs and time frames. It is definitely the case that "one size does NOT fit all". And settings make a huge difference. Don't forget this is algebra -- e.g. y = mx + b -- and we are solving for m and b. If the (x,y) data pairs are different (i.e. different pair, different time frame) then the...Ignored

DislikedI have created simple math based EA, no indicator or timeframe requirement which works very well ,fails only if internet connection is not proper. Pls. suggest how can I optimize it without adding any indicator for filtering purpose, I have attached ex4 file pls. forward test & suggest more improvement. Disliked{quote} Yes there are some coding bugs fixing soon & after forward testing some conclusion found that EA requires x amount of balance in case if sudden big spikes will update new compiled file soonIgnored
