I think I've got it. You must mean a WZ short trade going back into the body from the top wick.

Short from the set-up bar upper zone. Then a second entry off the next one as price retraced (which was slightly below the last level but it's my ball and I'll play whatever game I like with it!

At the moment, I am basically surfing the Upper WZ of that set-up 15-min bar. I am waiting on a sparky turning up and need something to stop me going stir-crazy, lol.

Cable. 08-00 15 bar.
Low broke and Failed. It happens, retrace trade (might) of been good, it all depended on what you were after.
00-00 4 hour bar made 20ish, this I didn't trade .

Billy did you ever use the 4am-8am bar to trade, or was it always the 12am-4am bar? Thanks.

I am also using a bit of mean reversion sauce in the mix today. It all goes in the pot here .

WZ is all-powerful. At its most basic, take a look at every candle - look at what happens at the Close/Open level between each one. How many times does price simply continue on exactly at the same level? How many times do you see a retrace back into the previous body, no matter if only for a small distance? That's the power at the heart of it all.

Ah well, the original didn't quite hit the +5 on a small spike down there but I closed at +3.7 as I have more than covered any shortfall this morning. I may still play the zone but am aware of the coming red news. I also desperately need a brew and my ass is numb!

Lower TF Supply Zone formed, which adds even more weight to any short decision...not for me, though, no no, I am taking a break

New friend winding up again for something silly. Seems to have a mad day them a quiet day - know the feeling.

Orders both sides ... still holding a buy looking for the 10 that is nicely ahead (so far).

i used to Trade the 04-00 / 08-00 4 hour bar UK time, with A/U which was very good and steady.

So, that excursion into Billy-Bar fun ended up bagging +24.4 overall...I think I added that up right!

Why not combine the two and look for a break of 7.45 (pre-market) to 8.15 (orders filled) range.

I feel that more often than not they are continuation candles and so you miss the first bag and in effect make a large single candle. This would mean that if it did break, you are simply in effect still trading just the second bar.

Should that fail and reverse, then if you wait for a break of the opposite side, your negative will be much larger - and if you play it WZ, then again, you may as well just play the second bar.

Lol ok.

Still say 04.00 to 08.00 is best option. Maybe have a look at 04.00 to 08.15.

Same concept applies to NY open but nobody seems interested in that.

Back playing with robot which is what this is all about. No harm throwing ideas about.

Where a bot may be useful is actually when you run both. In situations where the first fails and you are managing it while the second bar comes into play...that gets interesting, lol.
