Hi Hayseed,
Would you be willing to make some updates to your indicators? or do you have some more recently updated versions?
I am looking at the zigzag-ace and can you make information on the left top corner optional? turn on/off
SATL indicator repeats thousands of messages/alerts. Can you put a counter on it & make it user adjusted field?
Two pole Butterworth indicator repeats thousands of messages/alerts. Can you put a counter on it & make it user adjusted field?
LJSIG, I couldn't get this to work at all. Not sure, I could be doing something way wrong on this one.
Are you willing to share your dash board from post #143?
Are you willing to share your diamond indicator?

Thanks!
cdk

hey cdk..... sure..... we can change things up to suit you..... and you bring up some very good points....

to explain....... almost everything i use is written or edited to meet my exact needs..... and my needs do not fit the norm..... this makes sharing almost impossible unless i rewrite it to the original intended use..... just as you noticed....

i'll work my way thru your list..... and mention a few things about them......h

the satl alerts were unlimited for quite a few reasons..... such as.....

when my ea's cycle thru all pairs and timeframes searching for signals, the bools if limited don't reset at times..... this can give incorrect readings....

a single alert might not wake me up, where unlimited usually do......

and really don't sit at the computer all day waiting on signals..... so unless alerts are ringing non stop, i pay it no mind......

the alerts are meant to be flip flop, buy sell in design...... so it will alert once.....

use the alerts option to turn them off or on......h

//------

i added 2 inputs.... alerts and bars...... alerts for on/off...... bars limits the bars plotted, this is important on lower timeframes.....
//-----

here again, the alerts repeat each tick until the next bar..... the reason again is it's mandatory i get the message.... and they flip flop back and forth between buy and sell.....

usually i'll limit indicators to just 5 bars more than their absolute minimum needed to give me correct values for the last few bars.... this reduces the load.... after all, it's right now that concerns me the most......h

after a bumpy start, back on track with topsteps step 2.... i'm not using their calendar as an excuse, but with the exception of friday, the next 4 weeks as of now are clear..... for me, the most difficult thing observed so far is that calendar's restrictions..... it's like shootin at a rabbit while runnin thru a cornfield.....

if i have not completed the requirement of doubling their account in the next few weeks, i'll invent another excuse......

the companion live oanda account which has been running side by side for a comparison, has had 2 loses..... both my fault.....

the current oanda drawdown is also my fault and entirely due to the audnzd.....

or more accurately put, my selling the audnzd against the obvious daily trend..... no cornfield to blame there..... only a hayseed......h

hey cdk..... the dashboard would shut down your computer..... that's why it says archive only...... most of what i write is math intensive..... also, it's calling several dozen unique indicators......

the diamonds indicator will not plot the same on different brokers..... you can see the difference on my accounts here..... it's the broker variance in time vs price.... if by chance you don't have them, it requires the other indicators included here....

have some things to mention later when have more time..... your template looked good.....h

Hi Hayseed,
Would you be interested in creating an EA using your SATL, 2 & 3 pole butterworth filters, plus renko confirm?
I have been visually using them with good demo results.
Then I was thinking about adding your zigzag, but with it repainting if that would cause problems and same with s-stoch trend. Those 2 are ok for visual trading, but not so good for EA trading.
Let me know your thoughts. Pros/Cons

tks,
cdk

hey cd..... wrote something quick to better show what i meant in my pm by, -- took a quick look at your buy/sell conditions and can say with out a doubt you'd probably only get 1 signal a year at most.....

the first 2 charts below reflects signals of the satl, both butterworths and the waddah indicator..... going from red to blue is the buy signal on each, blue to red is the sell on each...... the 2nd row is the satl..... drew a few red/blue lines at the signals......

using just those 4 in combination, there was not a single signal in over a year.....

to require 4 color changes to exist on any single bar is askin a lot......

the 3rd chart is a much expanded version from years ago......

and the 4th is example of going with the flow..... ie, no signals required.......h

Hi Hayseed,
I appreciate you researching & providing feedback. Ya, I forgot about the mq4. I don't have it for confirm.
I normally trade on the 4 hr chart, but I looking for something to enter & manage the trade according to the rules. When I do it manually, I get excited & make mistakes. When I go back to review, I see what I have should done differently.
It still looks to be a viable option.

hey cd..... the true need for the mq4 is to verify the code is correct.... the risk of using anything without being able to verify the code is too great.....

it's just a personal rule of mine..... and why you'll never see me upload anything with out both the ex and mq4.....
//------

at first glance the renko confirm appears to be just another renamed version of the snake or solar wind...... if you put it on a 1 minute active chart it should take less than 30 minutes to verify.....

over the course of that 30 minutes, every 5 minutes attach the indicator again..... leave all the previous windows untouched..... no 2 windows will be the same.....

the arrows will come and go.....

those type indicators use highesthigh and lowestlow, or array(maximum and array(minimum......

handle them with care......h
