This thread is the next step from having found a suitable trading strategy. The strategy uses Bollinger Band period 80 and 20 on a hour chart.
Here we discuss the bots trading to see if it can be refined.

First refinement comes from the trading seen at start of week. There was a huge drawdown. Why?

Well last week Risk was on. That meant buy trades would be opened. By end of trading last week Risk was still on. But then the middle east erupted over the weekend. Some drones were sent to bomb the Saudi's oil facilities. When markets opened Risk was off or trying go off by assessing what world leaders were saying.

Unfortunately the bot had no way of gauging a changing of gears. That is the bot had no reversal alerts setups. So buy trades were pumped and DD shot up.
I had to close trades by Wednesday ,. Mean while I tried to figure how to assess market changes an then code that in so that our trading can match the same.

Side note, closing trades on a Friday is important . Clearly seen from what just happened this past week. So will updating a new version soon

and on Friday the basket signal turned from buy to sell. Which means this week we looking for selling opportunities.
Nice to see the bot opened with sell trades and they have gone into some good profit already. awesome.

When a candle close below lower Bollinger band 80 period (Hr1 chart) we have a sell signal. we are in sell territory. When price retraces to upper Bollinger band period 20(Hr1 chart) , while we are in sell territory, we look to re enter a sell. A level 1 entry takes place the first we get a sell signal from a buy signal. A level 2 sell entry takes place when we already have a sell signal( are already in sell territory) and price has retraced (Discounted DC).

unfortunately is a hybrid of this system. It is not following it to the teee. Will do bot that follows to the tee what I have just written.
Fellow buddies, as you may be aware , I have been following up basket knights thread.
Here is bot I am working on being polished up to mirror the trading formula being posted there.

The current bots use the middle Bollinger band period 80 on a hour chart and then rainbow waves as shown in the image

Then also add to the flavour Highest high and lowest Low . The half way mark between highest high and lowest low is helpful in determine strength of buyers and sellers. Here Is the template

The account is just 2 weeks without EA and I m not updating any complicated myfxbook anymore..too complicated....for just adding and removing EAs...
