{quote} Hi, That is meant for tablet or iphone not a PC. Furthermore they are settings for the CCI not the RSI. There is a difference. Please look at the indicator window of the chart NIH98 had posted along with his reply. It reads "CCI (666)..." He also says in the same post, "With all this setting, of course will not exactly same like main system using PC MT4, but in general will help to know 'where you are right now' " Anyway thank you for trying to be of help. Oops My mistake.

Btw, hasn't Nih98 already shared his template which includes a subwindow with RSI setup in post #1?

It's just a standard MT4 RSI indicator with two Moving Averages if I'm not mistaken.

Hi,

The template comes with a host of other indicators that I don't use.

Tried those settings. But if you set "666" for the period in the RSI you will get an almost straight line. Not the same sir. Try it out for yourself and you will understand what I am saying. However the other moving averages in the RSI sub-window work fine

Hi sir,

You have downloaded the template. Of course it works.

I am talking of the situation where I don't want to download the template. Instead I am trying to use the RSI indicator that comes with the MT4 platform. When I use that RSI with the setting "666" for the RSI period I get an almost straight line. Try it out sir and let me know how it looks.

Hope that clears the air.

Ok, now I see what you mean.

I guess you didn't uncheck Fixed minimum and Fixed maximum checkboxes. (There are checked by default)

Uncheck them and see whether it helps.

This is my clean chart with RSI 666, MA6, MA66 in a sub window. It works with no issue as long as those two checkboxes are not ticked.

Hello Everyone.

First and Foremost, Thank you all for the bits and bytes of information shared. Really appreciate it.

for the last two days, i have been trying to put to work the various knowledge shared in here with the indicators which seems to have taken a bad toll on my laptop's performance. Now i cant even start the Metatrader platform and it seems like i am the only person experiencing this.

@Nih or anyone who can Help

Am i doomed? - meaning is there a V3 of the indicators that use less proccessing power. My Memory is 4gb ram , processor 2.5ghz I5 3rd generation

Thanks in advance

Hi Kampion

4G ram may not enough, my notebook has 16G ram. Windows OS already eats up around 1-2G RAM.
Try to upgrade your RAM to 8G, or test the indicator with MT4 on another PC with 8G RAM, see how it goes b4 upgrade yours.

{quote} Sir @Parisboy, of course I also learn about W.D Gann Time, Space(astronomical side), and Value(Price) Vibration, even I have copy of his hand written manuscript, also about J.M Hurst cycles concept, cycle amplitudes, sine waves, Singular Spectrum Analysis, Subsequent Theorem, etc. Thank You for your contribution. Thanks kirincastle for you advice.

Or I could try using envelopes as suggested above. See if they ease things. Surprising though, all members who have commented on this forum have better machines then me if performance is truly the problem.

EDIT: Tried applying the envelopes only to realise the above application by Nih was to MIMIC the main chart of which my machine fails to load. So i have to find another way.

Thanks anyway

Hi NIH98,
I was wondering if you have some suggestions on rules for entry and exits for the NIH98 Open pct range mapping indicator. I prefer the fibonocci range for trading purposes but do not know how to develop some trade entry and exit rules.

Can you please elaborate a bit your method?
I read somewhere else a system based on break out box where you enter on one side of the box and SL is on the opposite side.
The edge was all in the money management.
Cheers

You have summed it up in one, yes it's as simple as that. My theory is that we have to make a Range be it Daily Weekly or even Monthly now we know by experience that it will not always be in a straight line, they will go up a bit down a bit just to confuse us, that's were fixed Risk Reward and good money- management comes in, hence if that's in place we just keep playing until they make a dash to expand the range from a Daily to a Weekly or even a Monthly, just remember there is always a Weekly high and a Weekly low if you can spot which one comes first you can bank some good pips.
Try practising find a pair that seems to fit well with the method then by calling the setup a ladder, then go up a step then move your stop up a step opposite for down, just to get the feel of it ( not forgetting how much the range as expanded )
You can add other things to help if you feel the need, but to me the money management sorts it all out.
You can pull up many examples here is the Daily Usd Jpy

Hi OAPDAVE, Thank you very much for your insight in trading NIH98 OPEN PCT. RANGE MAPPING INDI. The breakout boxes in the charts you posted was it drawn by an indi? If so would it be possible to share the indi . I am actually looking for a breakout box indi with alerts for trading the NIH OPEN PCT RANGE MAPPING INDI.

Thanks once again for the Great insight.

Kind Regards
