PASR IN TRAINING (EURAUD 1D) I didn't have chance to open metatrader cus I accidently brought the wrong laptop cus i have to guide my friend from other country, so I do papertrading. BB Here is what I see from BB, I suddenly draw the peak lines above the summits ( 3 blue lines ). Started from the resistance line, I saw good summit ( November 17 ) and valley ( July 18 ). Draw the support line below the first valley ( May 18 ). Change the chart type from line to candles. I saw a strong red candle last month, this month tried to break the low of 5...

You have been given a lot of help from huatzhi, bistolis and Scrumy (traders helping traders) so I hope you do not take their efforts in vain after a few weeks as you ""hop off"" to yet another thread.

Your thread hopping history shows me that you are more interested in being given ""signals"" by some magic wiggly, squiggly line (indicator) or some means or other. If that is still your "mind set" then you will NOT find "signals" on this thread.

PASR teaches students HOW to find their own "signals" and requires much time, work and study. Do you have the discipline, determination, desire, focus, patience and perseverance to do this and stay the course? If not, do not waste ours and your time.

AUDCAD {quote} Grasshopper hehe i dont know what is the meaning of that nickname. This tells me you have NOT read my "old" original 2009 thread! My trailing sl is behind of 23 of November. This is very safe and conservative BUT shows you are NOT reading or seeing beyond the Boss candles. Keep watching the Boss candles and how PRICE behaves in and around the Strat Shadow while at the same time, get a close up detail of what is happening behind the scenes by watching H4 and H1.

Maybe i didnt pay attention about the "GrassHopper", that means im going to re-read again all the thread. I deserve it.

Keep watching the Boss candles and how PRICE behaves in and around the Strat Shadow while at the same time, get a close up detail of what is happening behind the scenes by watching H4 and H1.

This is exactly what i was asking myself...

1) Watching the Boss Candles... how i can protect my profits? I mean, where is the StopLoss? Still breakeven +1? If something drastic happen. Focus only in Boss Candles for move my stoploss? Im learning and i dont know at all how to move my stoploss and knowing that is the reason that i start protecting my profits.

2) And this is a question that i believe... i have ask this in the past...
what is happening behind the scenes by watching H4 and H1

This is something that im working on it... When i Put those charts.. My Mind start pushing me to watch every candle.. I mean, watching every H1 H4 Candles...

Just a Few Weeks Ago, i start watching only Daily Candle and in that time, watching the H4... and that is the only time that i see the H4. (Working with my mind for not pushing me every 4 hours watching the chart).

Now my question is, that is the correct time for watch the lower timeframe? When you says "behind the scenes by watching H4 and H1" is when Worker close or Boss Close, check the lower timeframes for see inside of that close candle what is going on?

Thank you Strat.

GBPJPY pre london M5 I liked this

The hours before and after London and New York open are low probability trading as the over night orders being filled are not always the intentions of the London and New York traders in their respective sessions which, many times, they trade against. It is possible to do a quick scalp during these times but that is not PASR Trend Trading. This is why it is important to study the PRICE ACTION in the previous hour rather than just "jumping in" as soon as you see an opportunity.

This is very good, bistolis, and shows you are progressing well on THE PATH

This is what I am looking for when I am in front of the screens during the EU session

Consolidation during the asia session

Rather than look for "consolidation", SEE what the PRICE ACTION was. Most of the time it will be "consolidation" but there are times when Asia pre-empts news events and take positions which London follow and add on to.

established trend overnight, and looking for continuation

Good. Also SEE how PRICE is behaving in and around SR levels in conjunction with the Strat Shadow

trading away from the Open of the Day (NY close)

Good. Rather than "look" for PRICE to trade "away", look for what PRICE is doing with respect to the Daily open and the prevailing PRICE ACTION.

Hi strat, wish I can shake your hand firmly like student shake their teacher hand.

It's kinda weird, but You did what I wish, people around here did what I wish.
Several days ago, I read your post back and forth, quick jump on your threads, found this and that, read your reminding post bout people effort, told myself that I want to be reminded by you, guided and taught by people around here.

A week ago I started to focus only on your thread, after writing my first post bout PASR since then I always left 3 tabs open, your old thread, from the webarchive (kinda tricky reading from this site, some post appeared on certain date and then lost in another certain time), and this thread on my browser.

I feel home from your thread and people around here.
Many thanks to people around here

Candles mean NOTHING without understanding the sentiment and actions of those producing the candles (buyers and sellers). Put yourself in the shoes of those Big Boys trading $multi million accounts rather than a 2 bit retail trader. Make SURE you can differentiate between taking profit and selling (buying).

Just a Few Weeks Ago, i start watching only Daily Candle and in that time, watching the H4... and that is the only time that i see the H4. (Working with my mind for not pushing me every 4 hours watching the chart).

If you are trading the Boss Swing, your focus is on the Weekly chart, not the "noise" on the Daily chart or any time frame below it.

Each time frame is telling the "story" and sometimes its "secrets". Study each in detail and then put it all together to make any decision(s). Hint: Make sure you use ALL the PASR tools in our PASR tool box. Do not miss or ignore what is staring you in your face. Make sure you really understand the Power of Time Frames. Make sure you understand which time frame is the driving force in the Power of Time Frames.

After all this is said and done, YOUR tolerance for draw down or loss of profit will be different to mine so ONLY YOU can determine YOUR stop loss and take profit levels.

Also understand that I am not perfect in trading the Boss - sometimes I take profit too early, sometimes I give too much profit away, occasionally I get it ""right"". There is no right or wrong way, only what suits YOUR style and satisfies YOUR trading goals.

You are doing good, Grasshopper BUT stop trying to run before you can walk.

I am sharing an opportunity i have noticed on worker.
BB Price for three months is consolidating
Boss is directionless for 5 weeks and last week has just broke down the WWC.
The last candle BEOB has been formed excalty on Resistance Level.
Price is now under the shadow.
It is a nice swing PASR. I believe it is time to go short SL at 114.480 and TP at 111.400

PASR THE PATH {quote} Thank you, Scrumy. I would be REALLY interested to read other student's journey on THE PATH. Do you see something to add? Do I miss an important topic? How did you progress/do you progress on THE PATH? How do you backtest? Do you have a specific checklist? I'd like to hear your thoughts on this one. Don't let Scrumy or me down on this. Let us know. Since there is no interest in doing this then I have no further interest in other student's journey on THE PATH

It's 1 month now since am on this thread (also my first thread on FF ever) and it's good to check the progres.

In this month I readed Strats old thread till page 569, I make notes in my word file and when I will finished old thread I will study the notes and thread again (I use also google translator a lot ).
Last week I reread the Core system again and it helps cause I found some things which in previous reading missed..... Also reading current posts on new thread. I learned basics engulfing paterns, WCC, still have a lot of problems drawing SR lines. the Power of time frames and price action is some steps closer to me.

From tehnical aspect I organized my charts with templates as you are using here and choosen to put 22 currency pairs + DXY index, SP500, JP225, XAUUSD and XTIUSD on my MT4 terminal. Every day I check all this charts late evening for EOD (23.00 my time if my wife aloud me ) and analyse them as I would do real trading. Also look on lower timeframes for PA and structure of the market. As I readed somewhere at the begining of old thread there is very important to choose right timeframe to trade. This is challenge for me cause I often look to the charts during the day, from one perspective M5 trading would be very interesting and I will try it later on the path.

I don't have demo (never works for me), I found Forex tester 2, I will backtest EURUSD with worker (D1), it's a pitty that can't apply Stratshadow there, requires different file type for indicators... When I feel confident I will start trade real with small lots.

I am not so organized as Scrumy but I am trying to organize myself to be more efficient in learning the path and avoid shortcuts but I don't have exact time goals for now.

Regards

Igor

they use anise when distilling ouzo ( I guess sambuca as well) . Raki is more like the italian grappa
it is originally and traditionally made in the island of Crete ( I was living there for 13 years, maybe that is why i like it so much) and you can find it all over Greece in tavernas

best served chilled

AUDCAD {quote} what is happening behind the scenes by watching H4 and H1 This is something that im working on it... When i Put those charts.. My Mind start pushing me to watch every candle.. I mean, watching every H1 H4 Candles... Now my question is, that is the correct time for watch the lower timeframe? When you says "behind the scenes by watching H4 and H1" is when Worker close or Boss Close, check the lower timeframes for see inside of that close candle what is going on? Candles mean NOTHING without understanding the sentiment and actions of...

Well talking the drawdown i dont really care.. because before i place my order i check how many points are my distance of my stoploss... So if my stoploss is about for example.. 100 points and my risk is 100usd for each trade... Then i place the number of contracts for that stoploss is 100usd...

If the stoploss is 1,000points then i calculate for place the correct number of contracts that 1,000points its equal 100usd..

I mean i dont have any problem about the distance of the Stoploss... My problem is WHEN close the trade... but u are right... there is not an exact moment to close it.

Edit: And Thank you for ur patience and your guiadance for be a profitable boss swing long term stress free trader.
Then every new WORKER CANDLE... its the time when you check the H4 and H1 charts for see what is going on?

Right now i see the AUDCAD is holding support and changing the timeframe to H1 that bullish candle is big hehe. Big Buyers in there, and sellers tried to go down but the buyers are defending.

Then for me its a good zone for protect my profits, and waiting if im going to add on to my entry depending the close of the Workers Candles.
