I just made this indicator to show the concept. but paying attention to when the high low range narrows and playing the breakout is identical to a time based consolidation. It would be the same as a cz on the ssbo thread that used to be here as FF. ...

I think he is serious. Dead serious. It's almost impossible to explain though. Perhaps I can find an abstact youtube video that will help you understand better. EDIT: Here is a non snarky addendum. This indicator should do something similar by just ...

Originally I thought PI was just an analogy. But with people going on about it and with PI being very related to wave functions it is hard to say for sure.

Man you are killing me. I was about to move on and then more teasing hints. I actually pulled up some tick data to try to match up to CPs charts but got lost. Looks like the right price area for GU on those dates but I never seem to see the same ...

Interesting all this interest in CPs posts. It is so hard to pass up a good puzzle. All that mystery and intrigue. It looks like that is a tick chart in CPs posts. It is certainly a sub minute chart. The stuff with price is just a moving average. So ...

Ok thanks for the explanation. That is not at all what I was thinking or talking about when it comes to money influx. As for what it has to do with PI can you please enlighten me if you have the wisdom. I think I was trying to do something more like ...

Thanks for the links. I had not seen those charts from CP before. Maybe they are worth some study or maybe just some cherry picked oscillators. That is alot of indicators and data for someone who does not use any history. I think that is the main ...

Looks like some buggy wick drawing code to me. JK I think I have tried to do something similar to this but never got passed the pencil and paper step with my ideas. Always felt like I was just making stuff up, trying to extract more information from ...

Thanks for the response. Seems like alot more discussion has happened since I decided to respond so maybe some of this is dated. I never questioned the trend % convention since I just never thought it was relevant. I have spent alot of time looking ...

I am not sure what quality responses you were hoping for. I suppose you can make arguments about what different people find useful to focus on. But I don't know how you would argue that anything other than equity really matters. That is the only ...

Graeme is not around. Perhaps you could say the thread is controversial and strange of late so you could try reading backwards a few pages. diversification has nothing to do with opening opposite positions or with what the word normally means in the ...

yes you are correct the standard basketchart6 does not support the same flexibility as the EA. I didn't address this since I wasn't actually trading the basket. I did see a few offline enhancements but doesn't look like any of them have a direction ...

Here is an EA design concept I will share. I think it makes rule implementation much easier especially in the context of US rules. The EA is BasketNetTrader. It simply reads a list of TextBox Names and sums the numbers in them. It then adjusts the ...

Not in any graceful way no. You can off course calculate what ever you want and draw a few bars within the limitations of MT4. But you can't really make a way to go HTF and draw some lines and then change lower and still have them.

I just posted a tool for optimizing heikan ashi smoothed in the still basketing thread. You might find it useful for what you are doing. You only need to find something statistically significant (not really profitable) to use it as a filter for ...

Kos Here is a visual HA backtester with some breakeven capability. I figure this is what you were most interested in with my chart so I just modded the Heikan ashi indicator. You can use this on your offline charts or really any chart. You just need ...

I never thought about that issue with the high and low, very good point. I would think since movement is a bit correlated that it is still mostly accurate. I have thought about doing this all outside of MT4. Mostly because of the horrible difficulty ...

Sure you could do this. But it doesn't help you if you really want to actually see results for 10000 pars. What I can never understand and causes me so much frustration, is that it is easy to get more history in there but then MT4 will truncate it ...
