Thanks for sharing Blue12! It looks like you buy /sell the break of a weekly pivot and you go for small TP with a much wider SL. Is this correct? Could you explain a bit how you trade as you are obviously profitable and we could all learn a lot from ...

Yes, you are right I'm going to stick to this system until I get about 300 trades in before making any decisions about the management style. This whole process takes ages but it will be worth it in the end.

OK so I've been diligently gathering data based on a 2R trailing stop once reaching 6R (and moving to breaking at 3R) for the past 3 months. I'm following the same principles by not doing any technical analysis just a very cursory support and ...

You can listen to 60 talking about trading on the '2 Traders podcast'. Lots of really entertaining and informative talks that helped me to understand his approach to the market. They all seem to be talks with 60 and Walter Peters (who I am also a ...

Need to print this out in in a large font and stick it on the wall just above my computer.

Right, Jesse Livermore lost everything several times over and in the end it came back to bite him in the biggest way possible....suicide. Well, at least we can speculate that the losses may have been a major factor behind his depression. This in ...

I've just been listening to the audio book of Reminiscences of a Stock Operator about Jesse Livermore (it's on YouTube). I read it a couple years back and thought I'd listen to it to see if I could understand it in a different light. Lots of people ...

Mainly fear based but there is logic behind that as in there is usually volatility after the weekend. But yes, I would need to generate data to decide whether or not to ignore it. Doing that now though.

Hi 60 just a quick question. I'm based in Seoul and so for a large part of Monday, at least until late afternoon here when London opens, I am reluctant to put on a trade because of the volatility on the open after the weekend. I was just wondering ...

I would also like to add ive NEVER been up this much in 2 months....I've always lost money and for the first time ever I'm making gains. I may still be on the wrong track until I've got enough data but overall I've completely changed my strategy to ...

I haven't collected enough data yet as I've only started going for +5R since first reading this blog about 2 months ago. I use a slightly different entry technique to 60 whereby I just draw two lines for support and resistance on the 4H chart either ...

I'm trying break even at 2R and trailing 2R behind from 5R. Consequently been stopped out several times though with 3R...a bit worried these wins wont cover all the losses.

This quote kind of makes me think about a number of trading videos I've seen that talk about using 3 different time frames, e.g. daily, 4h and 15 min for entry. Some educators say that you can predict a short term 15 min candle move in relation to ...

Zen master trader 60! I'm not able to take that many losses in a row and think that's normal, yet! I am beginning to realise that this is what is necessary for the big gains it's just I need to go through the pain and pleasure of the losses and wins ...

All of those examples show amazing results and not even for a full year (?). One thing which intrigues me is the Gold 2018 chart had the lowest R return of the bunch but clearly the most obvious looking downward trend for the latter half of the year ...

This is so true - but so hard to accept when we see price going against us after giving us a nice 4 or 5 R profit. You need to be Spock and have no emotion. I am taking your advice fully on board and will exit only with the trailing stop. I am ...

I'm in the sae trade, but you have a much tighter stop than mine. As I mentioned Im still going for +5R but my entry is based on the close below a support line...draw back of this is usually there is a wider stop than just a 2 bar entry....hmm

To be honest I only picked 5R because it seemed highly unlikely that would be achievable in the long run and I wanted to generate the data to prove myself wrong. I've been raised on the Forex Factory consensus that we should be aiming for around 1:2 ...

You sound like a doctor giving me back my blood test results! Thank you! It's reassuring what you said about my entry and I've been thinking about removing the hard exit but I don't have a fixed method of trailing my stop and so I think could be my ...

Very impressive. Can I ask what percent your R is? 80R is immense! I've been following the approach and applying to my style of trading which is almost the same except I try to take 1 hour closes that are above or below a 4H support and resistance ...
