Hey Emm, thanks for the backtest results, helpful (and good to show the Market Type narrow ranging is no good!). Can I ask are you using an EA to test this? (the only way I've seen to "backtest" with MT4...)

hey Alan, yeah GU is whipshawing quite a bit. Cool re:learning to code, lemme know if you'd like to collaborate or anything. (I've put some rules for TMSR into an EA which help monitor a few pairs at a time. Backtests aren't showing great results ...

Is there some kind of indicator you use to check how range-y / congested price is? Or purely visual? (Is this what roadmap is for I think you said you don't trade when within roadmap zone?) What period is the (slower) MA used for the RoadMap?

Thanks RH, thought it might be a bit congested / small ranging (those trades both hit half of initial SL, since I use trailing SL). Going to look at continuation trades shortly

Would stick to larger TFs (H1 and up) - see Big E's first post for reasons for doing so...Personally have found it less choppy too (also taking spread into account) but it's entirely up to you. What I can tell from several strategies discussed here ...

I am keen to try the MEME. Guess exit/SL strategy will work different for different pairs, based on volatility etc. Interesting post by RH (though he suggested using 3-part entries more than once before ): url Trailing SL still running on GU 4H:
