Spread Betting — Hola Indian traders, How about CFDs or Spread Betting? These aren't Foreign Exchange. Would the authorities have an issue with either of these? I am now in India and don't want this to be an issue.

I must have tried that EA a million times, but spurred on by your insistence I tried one last time with "emulate on line chart" set to true and it works. Thanks for answering!

EA dead on offline charts — Yep, I can't get any EAs to work on the renko offline charts. They all initialise and then... nothing. Even Steve Hopwood's just sits there saying "waiting for the first tick". All these EA's work fine on normal ...

Here you go... — Here's a pic of today's NZDUSD chart. I go for a mixture of the "rubber band" trade, BoxingisLife's strategy, Spud's "ropes" and Jame's16 pinbar, ideally all around a psychological number. Then wait for the best trades a la ...

what's slightly unsettling is the arbitrary nature of choosing the start point for the divergence. I have just closed a number of short positions that opened last thursday. Max divergence about +2% I think. However, starting again this morning the ...

I mean I've used the % change of EUR-CHF to work out the drawdown on the hedge. It works out about the same. Obviously the idea of "entering/exiting one leg at if it's moving to your advantage" is not taken into account in this calculation, however ...

DrawDown — Hi, I've attached a spreadsheet that I used to calculate possible drawdown with this system going to 10 levels. You can change the pip value to see what the cumulative loss might be as each level is reached. I've calculated using ...

Working the system — Theoretically, playing de-correlations is a smart idea. This system, like any other, is not a simple money-making machine. On some days the profits are easy, on others you really have to work for your money. Trades can be ...

tick-size indicator — There's a problem with that tick-size indicator I posted a couple of pages back. The alarm fires even when the tick value equals the trigger setting. I think it's an error with comparing data types, but not sure yet. ...

5sec EA — It was a few pages back, hit the paperclip at the top of the page to find all the attachments and it's there somewhere. I meant that if the "big tick" idea was erroneous that i'd have to look at counting pip movement every 5 seconds ...

yep — yep, install to your experts folder and then attach to your charts as an EA.

Tick Size Indicator — I reckoned that if banks are going to move a shed-load of cash, it would appear as a large tick. So I made a small indicator that will give an alarm when the tick size reaches a certain value. Just save to your experts ...

well, whaddya know?? — Just read through this thread last night and was waiting looking at the US open on EUR USD. And whaddya know? There was a 8-9 pip bar on the 5 second chart followed by a drop of about 70-80 pips. Cool. Got to wait until ...

Disaster Ahead ?????' — This is the quintessential problem set-up for this strategy. CCI heading up strongly but still negative and stoch (possibly) about to tick down. Let's see what happens.
- elchoco replied Mar 26, 2009
The actual strategy was for a tick-up of the stoch when previously below 50. I dont know if the "basic line on top of signal line" will always give you the same trigger. also I see you have the 1D charts open so whats the scalping bit???

Look in the EA Properties. Either use Auto_Lots = True and make the % risk lower, or make Auto_Lots = False and choose you own lot size. Let me know if the EA is successful for you. I had 4 losses in a row up to tuesday last week and then couldn't ...

Of all the variables we have at our disposal i'd say the open price isn't one of them!! I think i must have misunderstood what you have written here. I only ever enter if R:R is over unity. Otherwise I enter everything as per the original ...
